Creepy By Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello friends!

Today I wanted to do a creepy art tag, so here we go....

So for this piece, I wanted the clown to be super bright and the rest to be gloomy. So I painted him in with

Marker Forte re inkers. I like to squeeze some out onto my acrylic stamp block and use a bit water and a brush. After he was painted and dry, I fussy cut him out and set him aside.

I took a window baseboard and a mica tile and some clear holographic flakes to make my broken window. first I glued the mylar flakes to the inside edges of the window, let dry, and then used double stick tape for the mica tile. After it was taped down, I used a craft knife to cut a jagged hole in the "glass". Then more tape to stick the clown on, carefully pulling his hat flower through the window.

Yes, I did not like the first impression I got so I flipped the card over. At this point I added strips of foam tape to the window frame to give dimension from the tag. Next was to make the tag..
First I spritzed the tag with Speckeled egg spray, then I used a brush to pick up some re
inker of Weathered wood and dripped it from the top of tag. Next I did the same with black soot. I sprayed with a little water to make it run a bit and left it standing up.
I dried it with my heat tool and stuck the window with clown onto the tag. Found some creepy verbage stickers and that was it!
Hope you enjoyed~ until next time, Stay crafty!

Clowning Around with Mail Art

Hello Crafty Friends!

Welcome Back to another
Mail Art Monday!

Stamps Used:

I started with an A2 sized envelope. The 1st stamp I stamped was the creepy clown.  Once the clown was stamped, I stamped it again on scrap paper to create a mask.

Next, I created the address block by tracing a mini playing card. (I left this in place as a mask also.)

I chose the typeset scallop to use as a banner.
(You know banners are fun right?!)

Once the banner and all of the foreground pieces were masked off, I started on my background.  I used distress oxide ink in cracked pistachio to color my base color. Next, I stamped my grungy circles in the same cracked pistachio color.

At this point you can remove all of your masks.  I used Blick alcohol ink markers to add all my base colors.  I added a bit of blue watercolor colored pencil around the banner too. I added extra details with a white gelly roll pen.

Clowning Around...

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Today, I want to share this crazy clown card!  As soon as I saw this clown, I knew I had to have him!  I know a friend of mine is going to be so excited when she gets this card!!!

Stamps Used:
Clown
Numbers set
Solid color wheel
Color wheel lines
waybill/invoice
Torn Paper

Other Supplies used:
Distress Ink-Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Candied Apple (oxide)
Dylusions spray ink- Black Marble
Memento Ink- Tuxedo Black
Markers- Zig clean color, Blick Studio alcohol markers

I started with an A2 card base.  The clown was the 1st thing I stamped.  I then stamped him a second time on scrap paper (to use as mask).

Once my clown was masked off, I stamped my large circle (solid color wheel) to highlight my clown.  I also added the smaller red circles (color wheel lines), and numbers.

To add a touch more detail, I used my waybill/invoice stamp to randomly add background.  Next, I flicked some dylusions spray inks in black marble. I also added some distress edging in hickory smoke and black soot.

While that dried, On a separate piece of paper I stamped the "torn paper" stamp.  Using my heat tool I dried this, and cut it out.  I glued this on the card front to finish everything off.

I hope you all enjoy this little piece as much as I do!

Happy Easter and enjoy the rest of your week.

A Carnival of Happy

It's Amy here today to share a blast from the past, the HERE stamp.
I had fun getting this funny Mardi Gras gal ready for a carnival atmosphere, on this layered ATC (I'm clearly big on those these days).

I used my gelli plate to make the background, using purple and green paints, and neon pink Hero Arts ink, spreading it with a brayer, over a stencil. I then added some drywall tape, cut down, for texture, and rolled the brayer over the top.

For the ATC card with the Mardi Gras Mask stamp on it, I stamped with IMAGINE Crafts Neon and Memento inks in Pink and Green shades, and colored it in with watercolor pencils. The background is shaded with purple watercolor pencil.

Finally, I added layers of embellishments, including the vintage plastic ballerina. I tried to keep everything light and fun, using some cupcake flags from Ruby Rock-it for little banners.

Thanks for having a look today, and I hope you enjoyed taking a trip back in time, to find a new stamp!
Loves,
Amy

Barb Rankin chose a glorious steampunky style using our Vintage Fan Lady on a Balloon stamp. The feel is vintage, nostalgic, and super pleasing.

Cheryl Lindsey wows us with this monochromatic gal.

Chris McAdams used our Brick Background stamp to create the luxurious texture of her fairy's wings.

I decided to use our newest Octopus/Cephalopod stamp as the being portion of my fairy.

Gerrie Johnnic's fairy is sure to delight and create whimsy with the Skinny Girl.

Jennifer Walker used our Crackle Background to add some enchant to her wings.

Lyneen Jesse has a love for steampunk and her use of our Steampunk Couple shows it! Metallic-y goodness all around.

Mary Vogel Lozinak is always a hit and her Clown Face button fairy is hilarious!
