Trio of Cards by Preeti D.

Hi friends :)
Hope you are doing well.
Preeti Datta (Dutt Preety) here from the Guest Inspiration Team.
For today's post, I've created a Trio of Cards using some gorgeous VLVS! rubber stamps. I always need greeting cards to give to friends & relatives, so it is a great idea to have a stack of them ready for whenever the occasion calls for it :)

I stamped the beautiful focal images (using VLVS! awesome stamps) onto watercolour paper panels & did watercoloring within the focal images. Then, loosely watercolored in greys around the focal images to create depth.

I created a grungy background by second & third generation stamping with VLVS! sentiment stamps around the focal images. And to create an artsy look & frame the pieces, I loosely stamped the Sawtooth Stitching Lines Stamp around the panels.

In the end, the watercolour panels were adhered to A2 sized grey card bases & I added a sentiment sticker to each card.

VLVS! Supplies:

Other Supplies:
Kuretake: Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
Canson: XL Watercolour Paper
Tsukineko: Versafine Onyx Black Inkpad
Winnie & Walter Dies
Lawn Fawn Dies

Thanks a lot for your precious time :)
Stay Blessed!

She Was An Artist | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
It's Sue Plumb here to share my latest design team project with you. Today I am sharing a mixed media scrapbook layout that I created to document some photos from a recent kids art class that I taught. It was so much fun teaching the kids - they are so free in their approach and have no reservations when asked to do something.

I started my page by creating the background, which was inspired by the piece I had taught in the class. I used the beautiful bright Ranger Dylusions paints, which I applied to my cardstock using a silicone spatula.

Once the paint was dry, it was time to add some stamping. The first stamp I chose was the Whimsical Leaf, which I stamped out over the green paint on my page using StazOn black ink.

I then used the Leaves and Three Extra Leaves stamp to add more foliage over the green paint. This essentially provided a "frame" for my page.

Next, I wanted to add an "arty" quote to my page so I chose the Art is Anything quote by Andy Warhol, which I also stamped using the black StazOn.

Now it was time to add some papery background layers. I wanted to incorporate some art themed things, so I used some Jane Davenport collage paper that featured a paint palette print. I also used a paint sample card from my local hardware store; as well as a doily and some folded tissue paper.

Once I had those layers in place I then collaged on the Magic Maker Paintbrush that I had stamped onto some tissue paper before adding some frayed gauze for texture, then my photos on top.

With most of the main elements in place for my layout it was time to go and add some of the smaller details. I found two more art themed quotes I wanted to add - handmade with he{ART} and then I combined she was and an artist (which I ended up deciding to use as my page title).

I then added some embellishments to finish off my page. First, a handmade heart from Charms Creations, which I placed near the handmade quote. I also added some pieces of twisted coloured wire for extra interest.

Next, I added the Cocoa Vanilla Studio yay flair button and some wood veneer hearts that I painted white.

I also added a black wood veneer arrow that I coloured black using a Sharpie.

To finish off, I stamped the Scribble Heart, then added a few enamel dots dotted around the page and a splatter of white Dylusions mist.

That's all from me today, I hope I have inspired you to get inky too. Until next time, happy stamping!

Born to be wild

Hello everyone,

For today's post I have made an art journal spread in my mini Moleskine journal.

And here's how:

I started with gessoed pages and painted them with these acrylic paints.

Next I used this fab stamp called "Rose Bush" and heat embossed it with a very light yellow embossing powder by Lindy's Stamp Gang.

Of course I stamped the background randomly as always !

Colouring the focal image; isn't he cute !

All put together it looks like this. I added a piece of dictionary paper saying 'fox' and a sentiment that I thought would be fitting.

I have used the following stamps:

Other materials:
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylics - Zesty Zing - Limelight - Hey Pesto
Archival inks - Leaf Green - Watering can - Jet black

Lindy's Stamp gang embossing powder - Dandelion Yellow Green

White pen
Copic Markers
dictionary paper

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

Sundae FUN day!!

So, we went from spring to summer like a race car goes from 0 to 60...in seconds.  I love seeing some sunshine!!!

Michele here today with a fun card for any summer occasion.  And who doesn't love some ice cream?!

Stamps used:  Cherry Sundae, Oh What a Day

The background is Distress Oxide Sprays, cracked pistachio and vintage photo.  The sundae is colored with Prima Colored Pencils and Gamsol to blend.

A little washi tape so the sundae doesn't look like it is floating and viola!

Enjoy your summer!  Until next time...get inky!

Famous

Hello everyone,

For today's VivaLasVegaStamps! post I have made something different. I still haven't a lot of inspiration and what I tend to do when that happens, is trying different things. These things aren't always successful ! lol

So, this really, really simple card was made by stamping the dandelion seed repeatedly over the postcard. I then added black splatters.
Next I stamped Marilyn, coloured her with Copics, cut her out and adhered her on the card. I then stamped the sentiment, matted it on black card stock and adhered that with dimensional adhesive. Lastly I matted the card on black card stock as well.

I used three stamps for this card:

 Other materials:
Copic Markers
VersaFine Clair Nocturne
Memento
white and black card stock
black India ink
