Merry Christmas Bags ► Majo

Good morning, my dear friends.

Since I hadn’t created a lot of Christmas cards this year, at least I gave my little presents away in a stamped paper bag.

I used a lot of silver, gold and copper and embossing powder.

I cut panel from design paper to the size to fit my bags and randomly stamped firs, dots, the cute little deer and the snowflakes. The snowflake is a die from Sizzix, designed by Tim Holtz, the sntiment is computer generated.

It’s such an easy way to dress up a paper bag. I do this a lot, rather than wrapping paper around my present.

Without further ado here are some pictures for you …..

I have used the following stamps:

5485

10766

12725

 4526

7986

I wish you a good start into 2021, stay safe and find time for your favorite hobby "Crafting".

Luv y'all ♥

Mixed media tag - Geisha

Hi everyone,

in Germany we are celebrating Christmas Eve today, so thats a good time to wish you all a very merry Christmas! But as the associated "crafting season" is almost over, I'm sharing something different from that today.

This Geisha tag has one of my favorite color combos from the Distress ink range: speckled egg and spun sugar. Don't you agree that they work really well together? I combined both colors in both spray versions (oxide and stain sprays) until I was happy. I sprayed a littly Dylusions ink over a stencil and had a great background layer to work with.

I added some Asian script stamping and added a little ink around the edges of my tag. For both steps I used Distress Oxide ink in broken china. Also, I stamped a pagoda building to the background.

The Geisha was stamped onto watercolor paper, colored with ZIG markers and cut out. I inked the cutting edges before I added her to the tag with some foamtape. I then stamped a matching quote - unfortunately not perfectly straight, but I'm trying not to be too self-critical.

I added a few cross stitch accents with a bright red and a navy-blue cardstock to frame the tag. These two elements made a huge difference for the whole composition.

Stamps used:
Geisha Pouring Drink (5836)
Pagoda/Bushes (5292)
Asian Script Vertical (5279)
Do All Things With Love (19545)

Other material:
- Canson watercolor paper
- Navy-blue cardstock
- Distress Oxide Sprays (speckled egg, spun sugar)
- Distress Spray Stain (speckled egg, spun sugar)
- Distress Oxide Ink (broken china)
- Dylusions spray (slate grey)
- Versaclaire ink (nocturne)
- Archival ink (watering can)
- ZIG real brush pens
- stencil TCW 554S (butterfly collage)
- ribbon, embroidery floss

Looking forward to create new projects for you next year. See you soon!

Tis the season

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to the VLVS! blog where today I am sharing a Christmas card.

and here is how

I used some old not very sticky washi tape to create a stripe pattern on my card.

I painted roughly between the lines of washi tape to get a not perfect effect.

This is how it looked after drying.

Next I stamped the elf and the sentiment on the card and on a piece of paper. I wanted to colour him with my Copic Markers. I stamped the head and hat again in red because I wanted his hat to be white and red stripes.

After everything was coloured.

The completed card. I added some Liquid Pearls over the berries of the holly but because I didn't have red I used a white one and dabbed a tiny amount of red paint over the top. The leaves were coloured straight on the card. I also lengthened the strings with a black pen and added some shading around the box so it isn't floating.

I only used two stamps for this card:

Other materials:

Acrylic paint, washi tape, Copic Markers, Coloured Pencils, Archival ink, Memento ink.

December 25

We are a week away from my FAVORITE holiday!!!  I just love Christmas, the decorations, the lights, the spirit of giving...all of it!

Today I am sharing one last holiday card for this year.  Next time it will be 2021 and the start of a new and BETTER year.

For this card I use some of the new Distress Crayon colors.

Stamps Used: Holly Large, December 25, Keep Calm and Unwrap

I really love coloring with Distress Crayons, putting down some color and just smearing it out...I don't even mind if it goes out of the lines.  This is Rustin Wilderness, Speckled Egg and Festive Berries.  Of course there was fussy cutting for layers!!

Simple sentiment created from one and a half stamps...I only used the present from the Keep Calm stamp.

This card is an A6 size using the new PhotoPlay Paper card base of that size.

I hope everyone has a VERY Happy Holiday, Merry Christmas and may ringing in 2021 bring all the good things we missed in 2020.

Until next time...get inky

Holiday Cheers ► Majo

Good Morning!

Finally I have managed to create some Christmas Cards.

I have used the Tim Holtz Gift Card Package and some of our beautiful Christmas Stamps.

I started by cutting all my pieces and stamped and heat embossed the front of the card holders.

The inside of all pretty much looks the same, I have used the sentiment “Holiday Cheers” and added the matching Christmas stamps on the edges.

I matted the card with some embossed card stock to give the card holder a better background

I have used the following stamps:

 3325

4526

7986

8603

Please stay safe, my friends, take good care of yourselves and your loved ones, and always find some time to craft ♥
