Exotic

 Hi Everyone,

For today's project I have made a postcard!

And here's how I made it:

First I dunked the card in to Distress Oxide inks that I smooshed on my craft sheet. I did add some water too.

Next I stamped the background and inked the edges of the card.

I then stamped the focal image on the card because the one I stamped to colour, I cannot cut out perfectly so I just glue it over the top of this one. Looks perfect !

Here I have glued the coloured and cut out image over the top of the one on the card.

I have used the following stamps:

I also used:
Distress Oxide Inks
Copic Markers
Clippings sticker
Washi tape

Travel the universe

 Hello everyone,

For today's project I have made a journal spread. It is still my favourite thing to do!

I think I went for the travel theme as I have not been able to go on vacation in the last 2 1/2 years due to restrictions and I have had enough. So here's to 2022 being the year where we can go back to some sort of normal.

I have used the following stamps:

I also used:
Distress Oxide inks
Embossing powder
Copic Markers
Washi tape
a stencil

Not normal by Corrie

 Hello everyone,

For today's DT post I have made an artjournal spread. I was listening to the news on the radio on a Thursday in mid November when I heard that the Government was talking about another (third) lockdown. I must say I am fed up with this pandemic and with all the measures that have been implemented and don't really work. So, I felt I had to get it out of my system and that's what I did.

I used Amsterdam acrylic paints to create the background and a home made stencil for the polkadots.
I added background stamping and added the face mask and the altered sentiment.

I used the following stamps:

Make art not war - by Corrie

 Hello everyone,

For today's project I have made an artjournal page and I had to use some Banksy inspired stamps again. I simply love them !

The background was made by painting it turquoise and lime and adding stencilling with the same colours, white and dark pink acrylic paint. I used Dina Wakley acrylics. I also used a brayer and white paint to tone the whole thing down again. I added stamping, doodling and washi tape and placed the soldiers on the top of the washi tape to ground them. The sentiment was cut apart and glued onto the page. I added some of the dark pink paint along the bottom edges of the words and at the end of the brush that the soldier on the right is holding.

I have used the following stamps:

I also used:
Dina Wakley acrylic paints:
Turquoise - Lime - Fuchsia
Amsterdam Acrylics Titanium White
Archival Inks - Aquamarine - Leaf Green - Jet Black
Washi tape
Posca white paint pen

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Mark Maker

 Hi Everyone,

I am back ! After 6 months without, I really missed the quirky, fun images of VivaLasVegaStamps! so I am really happy that I can contribute to the blog again ! For my first project I have made a postcard. Postcards are great because their size is not too intimidating and yet there is plenty of room to enjoy yourself.

I made the background with an UmWow Studio (Hexagon) stencil, acrylic paint and a gelli plate. I added stamping and heat embossing. The main image was coloured with watercolour markers.

I have used the following stamps:

Rest materials:
Amsterdam Acrylics
Gelli Arts Gelli plate 6 x 6
Versafine and Archival inks
Watercolour markers
White embossingpowder

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

Tis the season

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to the VLVS! blog where today I am sharing a Christmas card.

and here is how

I used some old not very sticky washi tape to create a stripe pattern on my card.

I painted roughly between the lines of washi tape to get a not perfect effect.

This is how it looked after drying.

Next I stamped the elf and the sentiment on the card and on a piece of paper. I wanted to colour him with my Copic Markers. I stamped the head and hat again in red because I wanted his hat to be white and red stripes.

After everything was coloured.

The completed card. I added some Liquid Pearls over the berries of the holly but because I didn't have red I used a white one and dabbed a tiny amount of red paint over the top. The leaves were coloured straight on the card. I also lengthened the strings with a black pen and added some shading around the box so it isn't floating.

I only used two stamps for this card:

Other materials:

Acrylic paint, washi tape, Copic Markers, Coloured Pencils, Archival ink, Memento ink.

Into the wild blue yonder

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to the VLVS! blog where today I am sharing a Journal spread.

I still really like the Banksy stamps by VLVS! so from time to time I can't stop myself from using them, like today. The background is made with acrylic paints, a stencil and VLVS! stamps. I also used a little bit of washi tape. The girls was stamped on tissue paper and cut out and glued on, just because stamping in a journal can be problematic.

I have used the following stamps:

Other materials:
Dina Wakley Acrylics - Lemon, Lime, Turquoise and Cheddar
 Amsterdam Acrylics - Titanium White
Reeves Acrylics - Mars Black
Archival inks - Jet Black, Watering Can, Tiger Lily, Aquamarine, Leaf Green
Tissue paper
Tim Holtz Washi tape 'Halloween'
Black fine liner

Thank you for stopping by today !

Stop me before I paint again, a postcard

 Hello everyone,

For the second project for the month of November I have made a postcard:

And here is how I made it:

I started by colouring the paper with these two shades of Oxide inks. I then rubbed the Broken China ink pad over the stencil and spritzed it with water. I then printed it onto the card.

After it dried, I added some stamping using Oxide and Versafine inks.

I used an orange Distress Oxide to stamp the sentiment, I did that three times using my stamping platform. I then took the card out but not the stamp and spritzed water onto the stamped sentiment so it would run. I also added some splatters with the same orange ink.

Next, I put the card back into the stamping platform and stamped the sentiment again but now with black ink. I like the effect.

Next I stamped this hand print three times, again using my platform and heatembossed it with clear WOW embossing powder. I added black paint around the edges here and there and matted the card on a piece of black card stock.

I used the following VLVS! Stamps:

Other materials:

Distress Oxide inks:
Broken China, Tumbled Glass and Carved Pumpkin
Versafine Clair - Nocturne
WOW clear embossing powder
AALL & Create stencil #103 Pebble Pile
