ATCs WITH CHECKS AND PATTERNS by Fran Chalmers

Hello everyone!

Today I have made 3 ATCs.  I wanted to play with patterns, so the backgrounds and the stamps used all have patterns on them.

Firstly I made all my backgrounds using stencils from my stash and coloured with distress oxides.  I wanted the backgrounds to match the stamps I was using with them - for example, waves for the fish.

I stamped the images I wanted to use on thick paper and fussy cut them out.  You will notice that they all had black and white checks on them somewhere. I decided not to colour the images to give more impact.  

I edged each ATC with a pattern that echoed the pattern from the stencil using a black fine liner.

MAKE LAUGHTER A PART OF EVERYDAY! by Fran Chalmers

Hello Everyone!

Today I have made a postcard for you.  I hope you find it amusing!

To start off I made the backgroud using brushos.

 I then stamped my main image on a piece of thick paper and coloured it

I stamped the sentiment and cut it into strips, and stuck the image and the sentiment onto the postcard.  I went round the very edge with a black pen.

I went round the edge of the postcard with a stamp in two colours to give it a bit more interest.

And voila! I felt that it was finished.  Hope you like it.

Hello everyone! Today I have a postcard for you.  Personally I'm a tea gal, but I kinda get the beginning of this sentiment!

Firstly I made my background by blending Distress Inks onto my card.

I then added some background stamps in the same colourways to add interest, and sprinkled water onto the card to bleach out some colour and add texture.

I then went round the edge of the card with a green ink to pull it together.

I stamped my main image and the sentiment out on thick paper, cut out and added to the card.

MAKE ART NOT WAR - by Fran Chalmers

Hello everyone!

Today I have made a postcard with a great message.

Firstly I made a background using brushos and water.  I needed paper that would hold water to do this.  I love the way the brushos mix and make a textured look.

 

I stamped the main stamp in black on the lightest part of the background, which I then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then added some gems and coloured the lips red.

In the darkest area I stamped the sentiment with Versamark so I could emboss it with white embossing powder.  I missed off the top and bottom of the stamp.

I finished off the postcard by adding a couple of edging stamps and some crosses on the background to give it some more interest .

WORTH CATCHING - by Fran Chalmers

Hi everyone.  Today I have made a quick card using one ink pad and only a few stamps.  I hope you like it.

 

I made the background by using the border stamp, which I stamped in Twilight Verserfine Clair.  I had to stamp it twice to fill the space by just turning the card so the edges were the same.

I then stamped the image of the lady onto thick paper in the same coloured ink as the background and coloured just the bow on her hair, her lips and the edge of her hat and neck.  I love the expression on her face!

Before putting her on the background, I trimmed round the background and mounted it onto card the same colour as the bow.  I also stamped the sentiment in Twilight and mounted it onto the same pink card.

A very quick and easy card, but I think quite striking!

Hi everyone!

Today I have made a postcard for you.

 First I made a background by smooshing distress inks together on my mat

I then stamped out the main image and coloured with copic pens

Round the postcard I stamped the edging to give some interest

I then stamped the sentiments onto die cut speech bubbles and added to the card

I mounted the postcard onto black card to make it pop.
