 Good afternoon, Cathy here with a card for you today. 

                                                             Stamps Used:

I started out by stamping the rose all over the background. I used brown distress oxide ink, I also edged the card base with the same color. 

Next, I stamped the bee in peacock feathers distress oxide ink.

I then stamped the bird cage on coffee dyed index card and trimmed down to add the center of the card. I then took a tag that had some stenciling on it added to the side and added the flower piece on top.

Hello again everyone! It's Me Tera again here with you to share my take on this months super fun inspiration board! I love this board It contains some of my favorite things, But for my piece I narrowed it down to Yellow Polka Dots!! They are so cheerful!

I created this super fun Queen Bee card that can be used for any occasion. 

I started with a white card base, then added a yellow polka dot layer with a quarter inch boarder. The black piece is fiber paper. I stamped Queen Bee 2 3/4 x 2 3/4  on white card stock, then colored with various markers. 

For the finishing touched I used pop dots to pop up the bee, and added a cute yellow rose and some punched greenery. Everything was glued in place with Miracle Tape.

Beehive Storage

I can't believe I only have one more month as a VLVStamp Design Team member. This experience has been Bee-yond fabulous. The gals, especially the head honcho DeeDee, are all so talented and I have learned so much from them. I wanted to make something that I could keep in my craft studio - the Beehive - that would always remind me of VLVS.

As the EllenBee I have a growing collection of bumble bee ephemera. I had been storing it in a box but waned to display some it and thought that an altered clipboard would be the perfect item to alter.

I started the project by rusting the metal clip with an inexpensive rust kit I found at Michael's. After adding a small bee charm I painted the front and back with yellow bumble bee paint. Next I distressed it with TH Vintage Photo distress ink. I then took out my Honeycomb Pattern Stamp and went to town on the front. To protect the board I added a layer of ModPodge. Last was the bee ribbon I received from a friend that I attached with Miracle Tape.

I added the Bumblebee stamp on kraft paper and a simple tag with one of my favorite quotes To Bee Or Not To Bee. VLVStamps has a ton more Bee stamps and I plan on adding more to my growing collection!

Christmas Trees Large in the background, the more distant trees stamp off some ink before stamping on the card.  Heavily distress bottom edge of card with brown ink, lightly around the sides and top. Stamping can BEE so Much FUN!!

It's finally the weekend!!!! Welcome to Viva Las Vegastamps!!! Susan here today bringing you some inky inspiration ... straight from the beehive.

 

With my last order from VLVS!, I completed my collection of bee stamps so I am ready to play. You might notice that my paper is stamped with the "Six Hexagon Background #19076" and also looks embossed. Well, it is. I made my own embossing template using the stamp. If you attend my weekly demos at the Saturday Crafts Fair on Linqto, I recently shared how I make custom embossing template for my stamps {CLICK HERE to view demo}.

I started by using several Ranger Distress Inks to add color to my Kromecote cardstock base with the faux airbrush technique. After heat setting ink, I ran the paper and handmade embossing template through my Cuttlebug. I rubbed some more ink over the high points gently to accentuate the embossing, then stamped the "Six Hexagon Background #19076" randomly in places. Now my honeycomb background is complete.

I stamped the bees into the background using Jet Black Staz-On Ink and also stamped each bee onto clear acetate. I also stamped each bee's wings onto a Miracle Sheet. What is a MIRACLE SHEET??? It's a full 8 1/2" x 11" page of MIRACLE TAPE - perfect for making all sorts of projects, die cut shapes and making DIY Washi Tape, too. On the backside of the acetate, I colored the body and head of each bee using a Sharpie Gold Paint Pen. I trimmed out the wings out of Miracle Sheet, then gently peeled off backing and applied to backside of acetate to corresponding stamped wing sections.

After burnishing down my miracle tape wings, I remove backing and dust adhesive with Perfect Pearls in pearl to give wings a glittery iridescence. I fussy cut each bee out of the acetate and slightly bent each wing. I adhered each bee to the background using Diamond Glaze - only putting adhesive behind the bodies and legs. I left the wings free to have depth and dimension.

To finish this off I'm placing this in a black wood frame from the Dollar Tree. It's a bit rough and rustic looking and will be the perfect home for my "Hive of Bees".

About her project:

The background on the stamped card front was created on white card stock using three colors of Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Pumice Stone, Weathered Wood and Stormy Sky.  Words, watch, Albert Einstein and hot air balloon were stamped with StazOn's Midnight Blue ink pad; and the flies were stamped using StazOn's Jet Black ink pad.  An extra hot air balloon was stamped, trimmed and colored with a yellow highlighter to mimic a light bulb going off over Al's head.  His hair was colored in with a white opaque pen from Ranger; another clock face was stamped on white card stock, outside colored with a red Sharpie marker and affixed on top of original stamped watch with pop dots.  Various areas were then "painted" with Elmer's White Glue and dusted with Martha Stewart's extra fine crystal glitter (my very favorite go-to glitter) for a more fun look.  This sheet was then attached to a slightly larger piece of navy blue card stock using double sided tape.  Navy background card stock was attached in the same manner to a stock white blank greeting card.

The words "Time flies" were stamped again on the left side inside of the card using Midnight Blue StazOn ink.  Another watch and wings image was also stamped with the Midnight Blue StazOn on an additional piece of the white card stock.  This image was then colored, glittered, cut out and attached to the right inside of the card with a tiny spring coil made from very fine metal beading wire coiled around a pencil and then attached to the card and cut-out with double-sided tape.

 

The red envelope was purchased, stamped on the front, and stamped on the back utilizing the flies and watch once again.  Stamped images were decorated and glittered; and the inside of the envelope was lined with navy card stock to complement the card.  Enjoy!
