A page in the zine art journal with Josefine Fouarge

Hi everyone, last time, I showed you how to put together a zine art journal and today I wanted to work on one of the pages. This time I made a video though (yay me :) ).

I stayed in a similar color scheme as the overall journal and played with some more stamps from plate 1512 - Tina Walker's designs. Check it out:

Aren't these sheep just so adorable? I totally fell in love with them!

Also, like the effect the embossing powder for the sentiment.

Here are the stamps I used:
- I kept these stamps together as one: Six Staples, Staple, Three Staples

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my art journal page and the journal itself :)

Time to Celebrate- Mail Art Monday

Hello Again!!!

Welcome back for another fun Mail Art Monday project!!!

This one is super special to me.

This was created in honor of my friends and I finally graduating dental hygiene school!

Yes, that's right... I'm officially a Registered Dental Hygienist!!!

SO... Let's ... CELEBRATE!!!!

To start I began by stamping the creepy cone hat and creepy bald guy, and masking them off.  I also stamped the writing triangles and masked them off too.  At this time you should also mask of your desired address space (and trace around it).

Now time to add the fun stuff...
Stamp the doodle frame first across the top, then the chevron banner below it...
(because why have 1 banner when you can have 2 !?! )
Stamp Celebrate above the address box

Are you still hanging in there?
Good!
Time to pull this all together... I used Distress ink in blues, greens, and yellows to base ink the background... then to detail the background I randomly stamped the doodle dots and numbers set.
Now stamp the dictionary page around the edges to help pull focus to the center.

Now, Lets see how things look without the masks.
(this is always one of my favorite parts!)

Ok, now we are in the final stages!!
Stamp the stitching on the address label and color everything in.
(I used watercolor brush pens to color mine)

Then, to finish everything off I used black pan pastels to edge everything and make them pop!

Thanks for sticking in with me, I know this was a long one.
I hope you enjoyed this piece as much as me!!

Art Journaling {by DeeDee}

Hi Folks!! DeeDee here today :) I'm popping in to share some Art Journaling pages from a local class I teach. Generally the first and third Sunday of each month are dedicated to a class where I teach a really great group of local gals some mixed media techniques and products. It's a really great time and more often than not we use tons of Viva Las VegaStamps! rubber stamps. Here are a few of my favorite pages ♥:

Other materials include paint markers, acrylic mediums, vintage papers, watercolor paper, inks, mists, acrylic paint, chipboard, stencils and more.

Love Banner

February, the LOVE month...and Valentines Day is right around the corner.
Michele here today sharing a mixed media banner inspired by the colors of love.

I started with some canvas banners, did some random samping with archival ink and sprayed with Distress Spray Stain in Wild Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Fossilized Amber.  The stamps I used were:  Writing Circles Background, Writing Triangles, Coffee Ring Stain, Numbers Set, Bubble Wrap Texture and Stitching.

I covered some chipboard letters with gesso, stamped with Writing Circles Background and Coffee Ring Stain then sprayed with the Wild Raspberry spray and water.

I also stamped a couple of white flowers with Numbers Set and cut out some Writing Triangles.  Then the fun began...

Yep! The embellishing, I also had to have some Prima flowers too!!

I put the banners on a wooden dowl that I painted white and finished with some scrumptious May Arts Ribbons.

Now, how am I going to hang my LOVE banner??  Any ideas?  Let me know what you think.

Until next time, get inky!!

Defined by Stripes

Hello everyone. Shanna here to help give a little inspiration based on the new challenge for March.

If you would like to watch the video on how I created this art journal piece please check it out HERE!

So I created this art journal page to share with you based on this month's amazing new challenge!

So I couldn't help but use this adorable stamp Sitting Bird - 18889 after I got the background of the pages laid down.

The background was fun and created by using Distress Inks and water. I also laid down some tissue paper using soft gel medium. Then proceeded to using the stamps Tape - 19572Double Coffee Rings - 19568, and Writing Triangles - 19571 to create the rest of the background.

I hand wrote my wording this time (I hate my handwriting) but thought it fit the theme!

I highlighted the Tape - 19572 stamps by coloring them darker with a PITT Pen and adding a white gel pen to it.

Now don't forget to join our challenge this month!
