Where are You?

hello.. and Happy Boxing Day..
the day where MOST of us are recovering from Food Coma's....
I'm here to share my last post for 2019..
so it seemed fitting to create an Art Journal page reflecting on where things are
right now for me....
I started the piece of with swipes of Atelier Gesso Primer, Liquitex Matt Gel Medium and DecoArt Media Crackle Paste. let that dry.
then added a wash of Atelier Free Flow Acrylic: Paynes Grey and wiped it back...

Next up I stamped the Banksy Marionette Girl on some used Tissue paper in Stazon Ink: Jet black.

I then added the Banksy Wall Singer onto tissue just like the marionette girl.
and the "You are Here" on an index card and cu it out to size.
and then I added it all together.
I used Matt medium to glue the tissue down and then went over it with a light wash again so it
all disappeared into the background.
I also Stamped the Writing Triangles and one of the hands from Set of Two Hands Pointing
directly onto the page
Then I used a Kinder Kreations stencil to add the rays of sunlight.
adhered the Banksy Wall Singer tissue and added a dress made up of
Invoice/Waybill stamp and featuring the Doodle Frame to add a frill to her dress.
Lastly I found the letters from a magazine and brought the piece together.
I love the statement that is contained within this piece..
How are you sitting right now? Do you feel like a Marionette girl.. or a Fierce Woman shouting from the roof tops.

Vintage Mixed Media Card by Preeti D.

Hi friends :)
Hope you are doing well.
Preeti Datta (Dutt Preety) here from the VLVS! Design Team.
For today's post, I've created a Grungy Vintage Mixed Media Card
I've used some gorgeous VLVS! Rubber Stamps here.

I created the background by adhering design tapes to a panel of watercolour paper and then applied clear gesso on top.

Then, to add colour used distress inks and Oil Pastels.

Next, stamped the background using various archival inkpads and gorgeous rubber stamps by VLVS!

For the layering, used a Vintage Paper doll, some gauze, black die cuts and old book paper.

Layered the elements, stamped the quote using a VLVS! stamp and created white, black and brown ink splatter.

Distressed the edges of the panel using vintage photo distress ink and then matted the panel in black and kraft.

Finally adhered the panels to a 5 by 7 inch white card base.

VLVS! Supplies:
Other Supplies:
Prima Marketing: Clear Gesso, Oil Pastels, Heavy White Gesso
Canson: XL Watercolour Paper
Ranger: Archival & Distress Inkpads
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Design Tapes, Paper Dolls
Scrapman Dies

Thanks a lot for your precious time :)
Stay Blessed!

Strange things, weird people

Hello everyone,

for today's blogpost I have made a postcard.

and here's how:

I used Distress Oxide Inks to create this background. I smooshed them onto my craft mat and then sprayed with water. The paper was then dunked in it. I used watercolour paper.

After it drieD I used a Tim Holtz stencil and some white paint to add some interest.

Next I randomly stamped the background with two different stamps. (A list of all the stamps I used is at the bottom of this blogpost).

Next i stamped my main image; on the card and on a piece of watercolour card stock. I also stamped the sentiment. I used the same paper to avoid colour differences.

I used watercolour markers to colour in the images, no water. I just blended the colours with each other.

I added the sentiment, doodled under the strips with a black pen and added a postage stamp. I then used the postcard stamp again but just the part with the circular postmarks.

I have used the following VLVS! stamps:

Other materials:
Distress Oxide inks, Broken China, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard seed
Stencil Cargo THS001 by Tim Holtz
Amsterdam Acrylics, Titanium White
Archival inks, Chrome Yellow, Tiger Lily and Aquamarine
Memento Ink, London Fog
Versafine Clair, Nocturne
White and black pens
a postage stamp

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

Happy Holidays ► Majo

Hello, my friends.

It's my last post for this year and I'dike to thank you all for visting the blog and also for your kind comments.

I read a lot, that you also had the stamps I used, but needed inspiration.

So, that's what we are here for :)

This time I made a tag

I started by dipping it into ink soluted with water. I used Ranger Shaded Lilac, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky.

I stamped the beautiful heart and the sentiment and then added the snow flakes around using Ranger Distress Embossing ink and silver embossing powder. A chiffon ribbon finished it off.

Some close ups, so you see how very detailed the snow flakes are  .....

And one more time the tag without all the "greenery" ...

I have used the following stamps:

8747 - Scribble Heart
7986 -  Snow Flurries
1445 - Sentiment

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful Christmas, and I wish you the very best for the upcoming year 2020 ♥

This is where to get all the beauties:

Why Try to be NORMAL???

Let's take a break from the holiday hub bub!
Michele here with a journal page mixing stamping with collage.

Stamps used: Big Eyed Scribble Girl, Badass

I love mixing stamping with collaging and the Scribble Girls are perfect for that!!

A perfect fit and then a little bit of coloring with Posca Paint Pens.

A little muted BADASS in the background to finish it off...of course I used Brushos for the background color, some doodling and a StencilGirl stencil for a bit of dimension.

Fun right??!!
Until next time, GET INKY!!

Holiday Cheers ► Majo

Hi Folks,

it’s Majo here today to show you some creation for the current season. I don’t really know how many of the bags I made, in all colors and sizes, for Cookies, Tea, glasses with spices etc.

They are fun to make and all recipients so far loved them.

Without further ado, this is how I made them.

I sprayed watercolor paper with Ranger Distress Spray Stain *Dried Marigold*, *Scattered Straw*, *Barn Door*, *Tumbled Glass* and some spritzers of *Black Soot*.

I stamped me sentiment and heat embossed it with Ranger *Super Fine Detail Black*, after stamping the firs, I also embossed them with silver embossing powder, it’s Christmas after all, isn’t it? There must be some shine.

I cut paper bags in length according to the size of the present, glued my panel to the bag and added a bracket. Ready to go!

Some close ups ....

I have used the following stamps:

4526 - Pine Branch
8603 - Holiday Cheer
10766 - Solid Bubbles
Don't forget that our current challenge ist still underway:

This is where you get all the lovely stamps:
