I am anOther Mother...

Hi all and welcome to May.
The theme for this month's challenge is .....
SNARKY...
which really represents all that VLVS! is.
it is THE stamp company you come to if you just want to have your say.
With a dash of Attitude..
and you know what. THAT is exactly what I LOVE about VLVS!.

In saying that. This first share of mine is pretty tame...

I started with the background in my art journal.
I scraped some Gesso and Some crackle on the background
added some Oxide Ink in Victorian Velvet.
Using the same colour I stamped some background stamps all from Plate 1455
Double Coffee Rings and Mesh Texture stamps.
I then stamped again using Momento London Fog ink with:
Double Coffee Rings, Mesh Texture and Tape X
(all Links for stamps below)
once I stamped it all I spritzed a little water over the top to tone it all down.

Then I stamped my main focal images: Banksy Boy Planting and I am Banksy's Mother.
As you can see I hadn't made up my mind the background for these so I stamped them with Stazon Ink on several things: Book paper, Index cards, and Clear plastic.
I also stamped the Smear/Smudge in Oxide ink, and Bubble Wrap Texture in stazon onto some masking tape.
Added some Stencilling to the background and then I started to layer it all up.
and finished with a Stabilo Border, some stitching and some splatters....
It is mother's day here in Australia today and my kids are at their dads until later today.
So I had some me time and created a page and thought something mothery would be fitting.

"I am Another Mother"

so the clear plastic I stamped on was a new product for me..
while I like how it comes out, I'm not the greatest fan of the edges
but it worked a treat...

You Are Here

hello everyone.
It's Leanne back with another crazy installment...
this time I didn't really know where to start .. No Surprises there..
so I started with stamping some of my background stamps onto tissue paper with Stazon Ink.
I mean we can never have too much collage paper can we.....

so then I got out my art journal and collaged up a background..
still no clue where it was going... added some crackle and some masking tape for texture..

and then i added some colour paint and removed some through a stencil. all the time building up layers. Lisa Oxley inspired
and then i thought.. this is grungy so I would add some Banksy..
of course..
so I stamped the Banksy: Mom Prepareing Anarchist stamp onto a piece of Pianola roll.
I liked the words.

stuck all of it down. added some more paint the same way as before..
and then I thought if I'm going Banksy I need some Brick wall,
so I used the Row of Scribble Square.. because they are Brickish..
and embossed it with some chunky Lindy's gang embossing powder.,
and then it wasn't quite bricky enough.. so I stamped the same stamp with 2 different distress oxide colours and then spritz some water..

and to Finish it all of I found a title and Stamp and Embossed it white..
outlined the words with Stabilo All Pencil (Black) and then activated it and just let it pool around the embossing..
finished off by outlining it all with stabilo and activating it to give it some grunge.

and this is the result..

"You are Here"
 Do I like it?
the jury is still out. But what I really LOVED was the Process.
the process is what gives me STRENGTH
(Cue this months Challenge..... #april20)

and some more close ups for you.....

Wonder??? - A mini Book

hi Everyone..
Holy Shit it is March..
what the actual.....
oh but WOOHOO it's SUNDAY....

Amidst all this Corona Virus crap there has been some creating going on.
Today I am sharing a mini book that I made with a single piece of Pattern Paper
I folded cut and folded the piece to make the book and then jumped in with decorating it.

The Viva Las VegaStamps! in this one are pretty subtle but they definitely play their part..

did you spot the stamps amongst the Rubons, stitching, washi tape and stencils...

YEP..

If this is reality: Negative Hearts

hi Everyone...
I know it's Late in the MONTH but here is my take on the February Challenge
Negative Hearts
check out Facebook and #feb2020
for a chance to win a Pound of Rubber
I started off in my junk journal. I used a brayer to add some white to make a grounded and uniform area to start.... I then added some water and Lindy's Magical Shaker: Autumn Maple Crimson
then I stamped on the Banksy Not my Mother stamp, added the wings and then I used a pen to "join" the wings to the Figure...

Added the Squiggle Heart with Distress oxide: Lucky Clover

I then went over it the squiggle heart with stazon black again.
the heart and wings and Part of Diana's dress were then coloured with some more Lindy's shaker.
Finally I stamped the quote on a piece of paper and then coloured it, like the background piece.

so here you go..
the finished product.

Life story: ATC Set

Hi and Welcome to my February share...
This time I created a little set of ATC sized cards....
To start these cards off.. I used a palette knife to smear some Liquitex Light Modelling Paste over my cards..
I then heat them just a little to form a skim..
then pressed in Scribble Circle and Carved Xs Stamps.....
then
I let them dry..
and coloured with a wash of Stabilo All Pencil in Black.
Making sure to let some of the darker black puddle in the impressions..

once dry I stamped on the quotes in Stazon Black.
added some Cross Marks background with some Ranger: Oxide Ink in Broken China...
and FINALLY to finish off.. I edged the cards with Ranger Oxide Ink in Black Soot...

So here they are all finished...... I really really.. REALLY.. love these...

 thoughts...????

Where the FREAK has the start of this year flown off too...
So I'm back for another round of DT creations.
thankyou all for having me.... so ..
January is Anything Goes Challenge...
so I went with .....
I started with some Distress oxide in Peacock Feathers and smooshed it on my page.
Added some masking tape and washed with Stabilo All pencil in black.
then i stamped....
I've used Grunge numbers 0,4,8 and Clock face all from plate 1444. Simply stamped with some London Fog (numbers) and Distress Ink Black Soot (clock face)
Then I added the Cross Marks background in walnut stain.
Distressed Row of Lines in Ground expresso
and finally added the Banksy Tiger Escape Barcode Bars in Stazon in Black because I wanted it to stand out..
 then I stapled some wire....
Coloured a piece of Dina Wakley Media chipboard shapes with Ground Espresso.
Stamped and then Embossed my title right onto the chipboard figure..
Banksy Not Every Piece stamp!!
so good!!
I really wanted the Banksy stamp to stand out on the page with a NON Banksy title..
well Banksy but NOT...
 background ... close up.
oh and I added some Stabilo All black on one side of the chipboard, and Red on the other.. and activated them with water.
but the red wasn't red enough so I added some Oxide Ink in Candied Apple.
