Stop wars

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my first December post. Today I have an artjournal page to show you.

The background is a gel printed piece of paper from my stash. I randomly stamped it with Distress Oxide inks, black VersaFine and some grey StaZon. I stamped the Stormtrooper and Toto on my page and on some watercolour paper. After colouring the images with watercolours and som coloured pencils I cut them out and arranged them on my page. I added some colour under his brush and some shading under their feet. A border drawn with a graphite pencil finished it off.

I have used the following stamps:

Other materials:
A gel printed background from my stash
Distress Oxide Inks

Follow your heart

Hello everyone,

Today's VivaLasVegaStamps! project is a card. I used my favourite colours too !

and here's how I made it:

I used Distress Oxides and the 'smooshing' method..

This is the result. I love those bright colours !

Next I added white acrylic paint through this Um Wow Studio stencil called 'Chunky Heart Stencil' and went around the hearts inside the stencil with a white paint pen.

I also rolled over some more white paint with a brayer. Next I randomly stamped the background using the same Distress Oxides and some black Versafine Clair ink.

I chose this bunny for my focal point, he is going to carry the heart. I stamped it in pink but later changed it to black.

I coloured the bunny with Copics and added more shading with coloured pencils, cut him out and cut his arm loose. I then tucked the heart underneath.

I then assembled everything together. I also added some pink splatters and a doodle line along the edges of the card panel. Lastly I adhered the panel onto a white card base measuring 5"x7".

I have used the following stamps:

Other materials:
Distress Oxide inks - Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed
Um Wow Studio stencil 'Chunky Heart Stencil'
White acrylic paint
Posca paint pens in white and pink
Copic Markers
Coloured pencils by Caran d'Ache
Versafine Clair Nocturne, Memento Tuxedo Black
A piece of washitape

Mysterious

Hello everyone,

I have made a journal page for today's post and I had so much fun doing it. I have used one of my all time favourite stamps by VLVS! namely the Forest Critter by Leslie Wood ! I adore her work; if you have not heard from her, look her up !

I started painting the page with gesso and then added the yellow with a brayer. I put a stencil on top and wiped away some of the paint with a baby wipe. I repeated this with the turquoise. Next I rolled over some more of the same paint. I then added some stencilling with white acrylic paint over the top.

I then stamped the background randomly and pushed it back into the background with more white paint and my brayer. I also stamped through the same stencil and added doodles around the circles. I used a black and a white pen for this. I drew a circle where the critter was going to go, again with a white and a black pen and stamped her in it. (I think she is a girl ?) I added splatter and then stamped the critter again on white card stock and coloured her with coloured pencils. I cut her out and added her on the page.

I adhered the page in my book with Miracle tape.

I have used the following stamps:

Other materials :

Acrylic paints; Amsterdam acrylics, Dina Wakley heavy body acrylics and Sennelier Abstract.
Archival inks: Chrome Yellow, Aquamarine, Watering can and Jet Black
Versafine Clair - Nocturne
White Sharpie
Black pen
Caran d'Ache Pablo Coloured pencils
Tim Holtz Stencil
Washitape

Adventure awaits

Hello everyone,

welcome to my post and this time I have indulged in my latest favourite thing which is clean and simple with watercolours and coloured pencils... I have made a postcard :

The process was simple, I stamped the Dee and Dum and watercolored them with my newly acquired watercolours by Winsor & Newton. I then added shading with coloured pencils. I also used the watercolours to splatter around them.
I added the sentiment and some scraps of Design paper and that was that !

I have used two stamps:

Other materials:

Watercolour paper
Artist watercolours by Winsor & Newton
Caran d'Ache Pablo pencils
Scraps of design paper
Versafine Clair ink in 'nocturne'
