Bird of Flight, ATC Card.....

Hello and Happy Friday!

Tina here today with a quick, but super FUN project, ‘Bird of Flight’ ATC card.

ATC cards are the perfect little size.  When I want to create a super quick project, or when I want to experiment with a new stamp, paint, or ink, I pull out my ATCs.  There is something about the little, compact size that does not overwhelm the creator and when you only have a short period of creating time, you can finish a project.

Before stamping my 'Bird Head' image, I created a wash of color using Spray mists as my paint.  I also inked the edges of my ATC with Distress Ink and spritzed water to create little drops of goodness.

Knowing that I wanted to use the 'Bird Head' stamp as the head to my creature, I stamped the upper portion of my card, then added the bottom portion and wings.  Just like that, it was done.  My mythical Bird of Flight has been given wings!

Thank you for stopping by today.

Have a great day!

Love Envelopes....

Hello and Happy Thursday!

Tina here again today and I am excited to be able to share another project with y’all.  Today, I would like to share Love envelopes, using 'Bird Head', 'Steampunk Owl', 'Face Collage' and 'Color Wheel Lines'.

To create my envelopes, I started by heat embossing several stamp images to small tags.  I used a white/gold embossing powder so that it would act as a resist when applying paint.  Using several complimentary colors, I painted each tag and wiped off the paint from the stamped image (with a baby wipe).

I then stamped a white coin envelope with 'Color Wheel Lines' stamp and colored in (randomly) the pattern.  I then stapled the stamped tag to the stamped envelope.

To finish my Love Envelopes, I dry embossed several larger envelopes, then attached a rhinestone brad, tag, stick-pin, and sentiment to each envelope.

This is one of those ‘done in a minute’ projects,  that I just love.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!

She says: "So fun to be back! I totally fell in love with the Map Background stamp and when I created a transfer of a photo of Yosemite I thought that the Map Background would fit perfectly to the theme and that the roads itself would make perfect connections with the branches that transfered. I used the Bird Head to make connections and also because it had the same visual pattern for me.
I stamped with black Ranger Distress Paint which generated a nice resist to the Watercolor and the Derwent Artbars and Inktense Blocks I used over it. "
