Steampunk Vamp by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello Everyone!!

           Here is my new blog post for this week...Its a mixed media piece...Enjoy..

So first I created the background by spreading texture paste all over a canvas tile. I have it at a  different thickness  on two corners just to give more depth. I then sprayed with red and some black Glimmer Mist. Then wait for the paste to dry overnight. I then made some gears and bat wings  using a mould. painted those with black Gesso and red acrylic paints. Once dry I stamped the bats all over in black ink. I stamped the vampire and moon and painted with shimmering H2O's and fussy cut them out.

Once the wings were dry, I used Guilding glue and a paint brush to add some metallic dual color flakes to the wings. I love this stuff! 

I also stamped dripping blood stamp on the moon. Then I used hot glue and started to assemble all the parts onto the tile. The last thing I did was add some amber wax paste here and there for highlights.
