Destination unknown ► Majo

Hi, my friends,

it’s me today with a little page for my Art Journal.

I have used a lot of different stamps:

 19045 from Plate 918

10766 from Plate 850
19019 from Plate 890

20172 from Plate 1495

20165 from Plate 1495

20170 from Plate 1495

19642 from Plate 1459

I stamped my main image and masked it with a piece of scrap paper. I just randomly added all the other stamps and sprinkled some ink on top.

Kind of reflects my mood nowadays, still not being able to go everywhere due to partial lock downs.

You'all have a good time and stay safe

Quarantine Life

I am REALLY glad to be moving back to a normal life BUT I am also nervous that we could be taking steps back...not because of the people but because of the leaders.  My card today is based on those feelings.

Stamps used:  Doodle Triangles, Whimsical Kids in Futuristic Hats, Quarantine Life.

The background is of course a gelli printed piece of love using Dina Wakley acrylic paint and stamped with some doodled triangles.

This FAB washi is a DeeDee Catron original from Um Wow Studios and it is the perfect anchor for the kids!

The sentiment is stamped on a scrap bit of the background and blend perfectly!

I had a lot of fun creating this one even though I DO NOT want to go back to QUARANTINE LIFE!

Are  you getting back to normal in your neck of the woods???

Until next time...get inky!

Waste of Make up By Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello everyone!

Today on the blog I made a card. Kind of how I feel some days...

So I started with the smoosh technique... I put a few drops of Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide reinker on a glass mat, spritzed with water and dabbed it up with my card stock. That is my background. I then took the Twisted stencil, and sponged black versaclaire ink on for  the curly background.

I then stamped my image three times and cut out the different pieces. I wanted to Raise them up for a very dimensional look.

I colored all the parts with alcohol markers after cutting them all out.
I put the parts together with foam tape so it is very dimensional and then glued them onto the background along with the saying.

I cut the cardstock in layers to compliment and called it done.
Hope you enjoyed my bit of dark humor...until next time friends !!
Stay crafty!!

Art journal page - Jump at your own risk

 Hi everyone,

I'm back on the blog with a new art journal page. It's a quick one that I created in my lunch break as I'm still mainly working from home.

I started by stamping the newsprint in several spots and did not care much for a perfect impression. On top I used some Lindy's sprays and water and dried the page with my heat tool.
I added some more stamping with the writings and scribbles collage and some splatters of watered down gesso and dried it again.
Here you can see the two stages of my background, the first steps on the right and with the added finishing touches on the left:

I used a cut out photo of the jumping Grace Kelly as my focal point and paired that with a text stamp from the latest release: Jump at your own risk.

That's it - a quick but fun project. Here are a few more photos of the finished page:

Stamps used:
Sheet Of Newsprint (20676)
Writings and Scribbles Collage 20695)
Jump At Your Own Risk (20668)
