Paper Planes by Madisen Hernandez

Hello Stamping Friends! Today I have a card I made after a really crappy work week! I channeled my frustration into the quote used "Fold your worries into paper planes & turn them into flying fucks!" Gotta love Viva LasVegaStamps!

I then inked my girl, and colored her in with some alcohol based markers

I made a mask, and did some distress ink blending with these greens

Added some mixed-media background images with crisp black ink

.. aaaand she's done!

Thanks for tuning in to see what art I created this week!

Curtains Please by Cathy

Hello, all Cathy here with a card for you today.
I started with a background I already had laying around. I know that I used grey distress inks to make the background. I also added some stars with white ink on the background with a stencil.
I stamped grunge background with grey distress ink randomly on the background.

Then I stamped the curtains in red distress ink and colored them with colored pencils. I used mineral spirts to blend them.
I also stamped the wheeled bee and colored it with copic markers and cut out. I then added some glitter to the wings of the bee.

Mail Art 'Follow your heart'

 Hello Everyone !

I'm back today with a second Mail art. This one was done roughly like the first one shared in my previous post.

I started by creating a quick and colourful background, and a bunch of postage stamps die cuts using  scraps of watercolor paper. I used the same spray Izink Inks than previous (Seth Apter colors), playing with different stencils to make a change. If you missed my post at that time, you may want to have a look on it here.

For this mail art, I decided to play at first with the wonderful Lid Lady. I love this stamp! I just stamped her on one of my postage inked die-cuts in black, and embossed her using clear embossing powder.

Next after glueing it, I stamped in black Versafine ink Banksy pulling back the Curtain over it, at the left side.

At this stage, I made some trials of EP colors, to combine the image of the lady and also my background with the stamp Banksy Follow your heart, to bring it to light.
I finally chose a combination of orange EP over a blue turquoise painted postage die-cut.

At the right side I added the Running lady below Follow my heart, with my Versafine 'Medieval Blue' pad.

At the end, I simply added a few more stamping here and there to finish the scene (with 'destination unknow') and to add even more interest to my background.

Et voila! :)

I cut one side of my envelope to drag into it the leftovers of my trials and remaining postage stamps die-cuts.

Below the two envelopes, with all my lovely VLVS images stamped and heat embossed on my forged stamps that remain unused. They will be ready-to-use for another mail art project! :D

Surprise letter by Gosia Du

 Hi guys!

This lovely lady was calling me….I had to make a card with this particular stamp!

First I stamped her, cut her out and coloured her with some crayons and markers this time. I gotta tell you that my crayons called me as well :)

Next I found a piece of paper matching my today’s vibe and prepared squares that would make a nice background for my card.

I stamped a tree and birds with brown Distress Ink, glued a mailbox and added little bits here and there just like I do every single time. So….there are black dots….you know, they called me :)

Stamps used:

Other products:
Distress Ink
Small talk by Tim Holtz
UHK gallery paper

Have a nice day!

Express soulful notes by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello everyone!

For my project today I made an art tag. Enjoy...

I felt a nice spring art was in order. To start, I sprayed three colors- mustard seed, tumbled glass and uncharted mariner onto the tag. Spritzed a little water to help the blend, let dry a bit and then finished the drying with my heat tool.
Once dry, I dropped water drops all around and let that sit for five minutes then dabbed with a paper towel.
It Gives it a more distressed look. Then I Used a pallet knife and light modeling paste through a stencil for the musical notes. spread it through like you're buttering bread. then let dry. Takes about  20 minutes depending on environment. Because I used distress spray, and the paste is wet, it will soak up the underlying color. If you don't want that you can first seal the art with collage medium. Or, you can wipe paint or wax or ink over the top when dry.

I then felt it needed a bit more color so I spritzed some saltwater taffy ink here and there. Not too hard as I wanted drops rather than heavy coverage.

While that dried, I stamped the singer lady and painted her and cut her out. I put foam tape on the back of her to give dimension.

I attached her to my tag and began hot gluing paper flowers all in her hair and down her neck and shoulder. Last, I Gathered the word stickers to make the phrase and stuck them on. And that is it!
I hope you enjoyed this weeks blog project.

Dream Big by Cathy

Hello all of you. Cathy here with a card I made.

I started out with an oldie product. Distress stain. I was cleaning my craft cart and they were just sitting there on the bottom shelf.
I did one side of my paper with reds and pinks and the other side with blues. That is why you can see a bit of the red on the top of the card panel. I didn't know what one I was going to use.

I stamped the saying in blue distress ink all over the background. I did a second generation stamping with the saying. I edged the card with the same ink I stamped the saying in.
Next I stamped the boy on a separate piece of paper and colored him in with Copic markers and cut out. I then stamped the banner in 2 different colors of distress ink and cut them out too.
I glued them all together and lastly, I stamped the extra dandelion seeds randomly all over the background to fill in the space.
