Freaks are everywhere!

Hi my dear Viva Las Vegastamps Friends!

I'd like to share a 4" by 4" Canvas today. I used the "Whimsical Horned Boy" from the newest Viva Las Vegastamps release. The background of my canvas is colored with a mix of Viva Decor Inka Gold and Gesso. After this layer was dry I used my Neocolor II watercolor crayons to add more color. I just add the color randomly until I liked the result. To finialize the background I used uniPOSCA markers and a red acrylic marker to add some doodling.

I stamped the main image with jet black Archival Ink onto white paper and colored it with Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens. I add the image to the canvas using Gel Medium. I stamped the "Freaks" three times on white paper as well and adhered it to my canvas. I colored the words with watercolor pencils and drew a black frame.

Time has expired...

Hi everyone! It's Susanne today and I'd like to give you some more inspiration for this month's challenge. Here is the our monthly challenge inspiration:

I created a mixed media Artist Trading Card.

I used some watercolor paper and stamped parts of the "Dictionary Page"  stamp with VersaMark Ink. Now I colored the whole background with black PanPastels. The pigments of the pastels stick to the VersaMark Ink. Together with the watercolor texture the result is a nice background to work on.
Next step was stamping the "Film Strip" with jet black Archival Ink. I added also two butterflies from the "Butterfly Specimens" stamp. I always inked up only one buttefly by masking the adjacent with washi tape. I added some red to the film strip, just to bring out the black and white theme.
Now it was time to add some gesso to highlight the area where I wanted to place the words. I used the "Your Time As A Caterpillar" sentiment. I missed a border arround the ATC so I added some lace with the "Lace Background" stamp and blacked the edges with a black Neocolor crayon.
To finish it up I used a white uniPOSCA marker as well as a black Pitt Artist Pen and did some doodling.
