Find your tribe, love them hard! - by Cheetarah
Hi VLVS! friends! It's Cheetarah here and I've made this fun and Funky note card to share with you. I've used some delish neon inks (Fiona made me catch that bug - LOL!) and some fun VLVS! mixed media stamps. A full list is down below.
How I made this: I took a piece of cardboard, heavy gel medium and scraped it through a stencil (The crafter's workshop obelong) then covered it with a coat of black gesso. Then got an ink palette and poured in a couple of drops of neon ink (from J. Herbin calligraphy neon set) and used my fingers to add the color onto the card, creating the color hue you see on it.
This is how it looked when dried. When it was drying, I went to work with the focal image, colors and cut that out as well as the arrows and the text. I used some washi tape to ground the "tribe" and added some texture by scribbling in the cut out pieces and stamping in the background.
It was really fun making this card as I got to work with colors I usually do not work with (neons) and I got more use of my calligraphy inks this way as well.
Stamps used:

Row of chevrons

Writing Chevron
Others:
Heavy Gel Medium
Black Gesso
TCW obelong stencil
J. Herbin neon calligraphy inks

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

It's Time for Halloween!!
I love Halloween crafting!!!
Michele here today and I am sharing two Halloween cards with a little masking how to.
Let's jump right in...
I started by stamping the image I wanted inside the bell jar, in this case a little skeleton from the latest release.
I stamped the image again on an old dictionary page and cut out the base to place over my stamped piece.
Then I stamped the bell jar ove the skeleton.
Oh, it is just the best and easiest masking technique!!
I did the same over the entire bell jar so I could ink and stamp the background.
A little bit of coloring to finish it off.
Stamps used: Skeleton on a Pedestal, Bell Jar, Cross Marks Background, Spooky, Raven in a Witch Hat, Spider on a Web Line
I had so much fun with the Bell Jar stamp I did this one too...
Stamps used: Bell Jar, The Head Figure by Cat Kerr, Specimen, Humerus Bone, Harlequin Diamond Background
Can't wait to see what you all create for this Hallows Eve!
Until next time...get inky!!

So I did some photos of my art journal spread for you!
Here is what my spread looks like finished.
I love gelli printing and gluing the pages together to make mini art journals. I used bubble wrap and the stamp Torn Paper stamp during the gelli printing stage.
I gathered my supplies and then stamped the lady on this art journal page.
I colored some chipboard pieces with black gesso before I added them.
I added the sentiment Nevertheless then glued the chipboard pieces on.
I colored the chipboard pieces with some Metallique Wax.
Added some scribble around the sentiment and called this page done.
I love this stamp. She has this look about her and makes you want to look at her and think and explore your mind.

and welcome to another Mailart Monday here at Viva Las VegaStamps!
and here is my envelope :
Front
and back...
I thought I'd go for a colour I don't use very much: purple !
I combined it with blue and white and painted front and back of the envelope masking off the area for the address... (all acrylic paints)
Next I stamped the background using paint, ink and embossing.
I used an acrylic paint marker to draw a line along the edge on the front and lastly added my main image which is a banksy stamp.
I used a whole lot of stamps for this envelope:

Art Journal Page by Jenn Engle
Hey everyone! I have an art journal page to share with you today. To see exactly how I made it, check out the process video at the bottom of this post.
Mesh Texture
Not All Who Wander
Not All Who Wander
I started by using Distress Oxides Inks with a round ink blending tool to create circles all over my background. I also did a little stamping to add some interest.
I stamped my paintbrush and colored it in with Dina Wakley's Scribble Sticks. I also stamped my two sentiments.
I journaled with a Fude-Ball 1.5mm pen, making it look like my journaling was coming out of my paintbrush. I glued down my sentiments and that's it!

A Florescent Trio by Fiona
Hello my VLVS! friends, Fiona here with you today to share a trio of Fluro ATC cards I created using the fabo rubber stamps designed by Mary Vogel Lozinak
I have become totally in love with florescent paint recently. I find I'm using it more and more!!
Combined with these fabulous and quirky stamps, the ATC's came together so smoothly!
I'm finding lately that my style is changing again. Or maybe it's just becoming what it really wants to be. I'm enjoying the randomness of the brush strokes.
Either way, I'm enjoying the mess and the color!!

Mail Art Envelope by Susanne
Hi my dear crafty friends!
It's Mail Art Monday today and I have an envelope with the lovely "Girl With Wings" for you.
I picked on of my gelli printed papers and build an envelope with the Envelope Punch Board. Before I glue the envelope together I decorate it:
I stamp the main image onto the front with the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. I make a second print onto white cardstock.
I cut this one directly on the outlines and colour it with Distress Inks.
I paint a white address field with gesso, add some more stamping and glue the envelope together. Finally I adhere the main image.
In case you don't send any mail art, you can use those envelopes perfectly in your art/ junk journals!
Thank you for stopping by today.
xx Susanne.
