Born to Be Wild

HI, hi!!  Michele here with a quick gelli print background technique for a fun Banksy card.

Let's jump right in and get started!

You might notice I took some inpiration from this months inspiration challenge...you still have time to link up!

I have been using my gelli plate a LOT lately...I LOVE the background I can create with it.

I used Dina Wakley acrylic paint and a brayer to put a nice layer of paint on my plate.

Then lay your paper right in the paint and apply pressure all over to pick up the paint.  You can also lay a stencil in the paint first to get an awesome pattern.

Don't clean you stencil right away though becasue there is still precious paint on it to apply another layer on you background.  This stencil is an Um Wow Studios creation!

I always like to create multiples, I mean while you are all painty your might as well!!

When everything is dry and trimmed the stamping begins!

I used my white Signo pen to add some doodling.

Marioneete Girl is stamped in archival ink and then heat embossed with Ultra High Gloss Embossing Powder.

You will also notice some splatters!!  Done with the same Dina Wakely paint.

Now...we are also hosting a swap over at Viva Las VegaStamps!  If you visit our Groupies Facebook page you will find an event with details.  There is a short window to get involved in this months OR we will have another one starting in March.

Our February theme is Bansky and we are swapping mail art.  I made some envelopes inspired by our inspiration challenge also.

Join us PLEASE!!!  We love a good swap!!

Until next ime...get inky (or painty-LOL).
