TWO BUTTERFLY TAGS - by Fran Chalmers

Hi everyone!

Today I have made two small tags using the same stamps and similar colours, but they are quite different. I hope you like them.

For the first tag, I made a background using Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch distress oxides, mixed with water on a mat.

I then stamped round the edge with Writing and Scibbles Collage stamp  in Versafine Clair Blue Belle to add some interest.

I then stamped the main image in Versafine Clair Nocturn in the centre of the tag.  I masked off the top butterfly so the image would fit on the tag!

I went round the edge of the tag with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide, and added some sequins to give some texture and sparkle.

With the second tag, I started by stamping the image onto white card with Versafine Clair Blue Belle. I then went round the edge with Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass.

Again, I added some interest round the edge using the Writing and Scribbles Collage stamp, this time stamped in Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass

I then added some splats in blue Posca pen, and went round the very edge with Distress Oxide in Blueprint Sketch. I also added some clear dew drop gems for some bling.

To finish both tags, I added some threads in coordinating colours.

Stamps Used:

Butterfly Specimens 19415
Writing and Scribbles Collage 20695

Other items used:

Distress oxides in Blueprint Sketch, Tumbled Glass, Wilted Violet, Salty |Ocean
Versafine Clair inks in Blue Belle and Nocturn

One wicked beast.. by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello everyone!

I know its the middle of summer but Halloween is in the stores now and of coarse for me ,Halloween is every day!

I hope you enjoy my art tag for this week~

For this tag, I  used one I had in my stash that I had die cut the claw mars out of. The background is cracklin campfire and black soot spray stains. For the background seen through the claw marks, I sprayed a new tag with wilted violet and shaded lilac spray stains and then stamped the flock of bats all over.

Then I glued the two tags together.

I stamped the cat and bat wings and fussy cut them and then glued the wings to the cat.
I then stamped the hanging bats and the cemetery onto the tag. I used a white gel pen for the eyes of the bats.
I wanted the cat to stand out so I painted him in neon colors using reinkers.
I used foam tape to attach him to the tag. I used a bit of glitter glue on the green tips of his wings and  a word stick from TH. And that's it!
I hope this gets you in the Halloween spirit!

Cemetery     18907

Creepy cat    19869

Umbrella man by ~*Arwen*~

 Hi Lovelies

Welcome back on this Blog :)

Today, I like to share my newest postcard including the way, how I made it.

Let's go

1.) First, I draw a celtic knot bow.

2.) After painting the spaces between the knots black, I position my desired image. In this case, the Umbrella Man.

3.) To make the background not look so empty, I stamp bees and butterflies on it.

4.) When coloring, I always start with the background. For this, I use a water tank brush and watercolors from Prima.

5.) Now that the background is finished, I can start coloring my pictures. For this I use my handmade watercolor paints.

6.) The color shines and glitters. The bees' wings are just filled with glitter.

7.) The bow is still missing. I color it in olive green and add shading in red.

8.) Of course it also glitters. Finally, I stamp the edges of the card with a silhouette stamp and add a quote under the bow.

All stamps, I used:

- Silhouette clumps of plants

- Butterfly Gossamer/small

- Umbrella Man

- Bumblebee small

- I'm not overweight

other supplies:

- Watercolor paper

- VersaFine Clair

- handmade watercolors

- Micron pen

- Prima watercolors

- Posca white pen

- cardstock

- Distress Oxides

See ya soon *mwah*

Frank's wife by Cathy n

Good evening, Cathy here with a card for you.

I started out stamping Alhambra Programme  all over the card base with brown distress ink. I then sprayed it with some water so it would blur a little.
Next, I took grunge writing background and stamped it on the background in black ink. I then took a light brown distress ink and smooched it on the background.

Then I stamped Alhambra Programme  on a scrap paper and colored it with Copic markers and cut out.
After that I stamped Bride of Frankenstein and made a tag out off it.

I found some paper bits and I added them to the front of the card and added the other 2 cut outs I did.

                                                                   Stamps Used:

                                                       18628 Alhambra Programme

                                                        19906 Bride of Frankenstein

Use IT. by Tracy Blackwolf

Hello everyone!

Todays project is an art tag. Enjoy.

Todays tag is a sentiment I'm sure we can all appreciate.

For this I stamped the Expanding rays in a red chalk ink. It did not come to the edges so I used a paint brush and dabbed it on the ink pad and pulled the color down for a more pleasing effect.

I then used a brown ink pad around all the edges of the tag. I also fussy cut and colored the brains sign.
I put one layer of foam tape on the back of the sign and stuck it on.
I fussy cut the rest of my images and colored them with alcohol markers and layered the backs with foam tape. With the most on the brain so it would stand out pretty far. I bent the fingers of the person for more dimension. The 3D effect doesn't translate well in the photos.
I used some TH stickers for the words and that was it.
Until next time~

Stamps used:
Brains 25 Cents    19899
Detailed brain     19696
Hands lady     4800
Expanding Rays    19896

Other supplies:
TH chit chat stickers
Colorbox chalk inkpad- warm red
Versafine claire- Pinecone, nocturne
Distress spray stain- stormy sky

Halloween-ish card by Cathy

Hello, all Cathy here with a Halloween-ish card for you today.

                                                                           Stamps Used:

                                                                19563 grunge circles

                                                               19991 Alis Volat Proprits

Why I say Halloween-ish because I started out to make a Halloween card and I didn't know what I wanted to use for the main image, so I switched it up a bit. I stamped the grunge circles in an orange and purple distress ink colors around my card base. Then I took my sponge dabber that had brown distress oxide ink on it and used whatever was left on it to go around the card. I splattered some water on it to give it drips.

I decided to make a tag for the front. I took rusty hinge antique linen distress ink to make the tag background. I stamped Alis Volat Proprits with black ink and tore the tag. I edged it with distress inks.

Lastly, I added foam tape to the back of the tag added to the card base.
