 Good afternoon, Cathy here with a card for you today.

I started out by stamping the rose all over the background. I used brown distress oxide ink, I also edged the card base with the same color. 

Next, I stamped the bee in peacock feathers distress oxide ink.

I then stamped the bird cage on coffee dyed index card and trimmed down to add the center of the card. I then took a tag that had some stenciling on it added to the side and added the flower piece on top.

A Little Note.

Hello, Mary here with a little back-to-school stampin' project.

I'm always in need of a notecard to send a note of thanks, or just a little card to let someone know I'm thinking of them.  So, I stamped up this set of kraft notecards with 'X' and the 'O' from the Checklist Cube stamp.  I use this set of stamps all the time in my planner, and I love how cute the notecards came out!

Then I got to thinking that the box and check images from the Checklist Cube would make some really cute notecards to give to each of my daughter's teachers!

I began by cutting 5 sheets of kraft cardstock into half and folding them into card bases (5 for the 'X' and 'O' and 5 for the box and check).  Then stamped a different pattern onto each notecard with a white pigment ink to create a set of 5 matching notecards.

And because I'm all about the packaging, I ripped a length of unbleached cotton fabric and stamped the Measuring Tape Section image repeatedly to create a custom ribbon perfect for wrapping up my set.  Now, it's ready for giving!

For the 'X' and 'O' set, I used the Scribble Heart to create my ribbon.

I love the soft look of the white ink on kraft.  And the set all tied up with the rustic ribbon?  SO shabby perfect!

Have yourself a merry little Christmas

Its the the Holiday Season! This year I deiced to make some Christmas cards using Viva Las VegaStamps! of course!

 This first card is a quick fun card I made using Kromecote and Ultra High Gloss clear embossing powder for a fun emboss resist technique.

I stamped the Harlequin Diamond background stamp in clear embossing ink on the Kromecote. I poured the Ultra High Gloss embossing powder over it. After I melted the embossing powder with my heat gun, and it cooled, I took Barn Door distress ink pad and one of the foam pieces and went over the embossed image with the ink. I then took Fire Brick distress ink pad and did it again. I then took a paper towel to wipe off the ink from where it is embossed. it looks like this.

 I trimmed the Kromcote a pit so it can fit on the Kraft card base. I used Miracle tape to attached the Kromecote to the card base.

On white cardstock I stamped the Snow woman in flower hat with black Memento ink pad. I colored her hat and purse with markers. I stamped the head part of the stamp and painted the nose orange. I cut it out and glued it on her. I glossy accented the band of the hat and her eyes. I added some rock candy stickles to her body. I used foam tape to attache her to the card.

On a piece of scrap cardstock I stamped the sentiment, "have yourself a merry little Christmas" and edged it with Crushed Olive distress ink pad.

This card is another fun card to make. Its a triple stamping card technique  I saw a friend make one, then saw a youtube video on where she got the idea from. While watching her make the card I got an idea to use a VLVS! stamp with it. Turned out really cute! This is what it looks like uncolored.

I took the 3 white cardstock layers and stack them on top of each other. I then stamped the Santa hits plane with Black Versafine ink pad and then embossed in Ultra High Gloss clear embossing powder. After I embossed the powder I mounted the three white layers onto the green cardstock using Miracle tape. I then colored the image Artist Loft watercolors. I also used pearlesnt watercolors. I should of done that first before mounting them on the green. but live and learn! :P 

Taking a cue from George of the Jungle I stamped out "Watch out for that plane George" with the small alpha's from the plate 1430 on scrap of white cardsock with black soot distress ink pad. cut the words and mounted that on the bottom white layer.

Get Well Soon With A Sense Of Humor!!

Good morning VLVS friends, 

Pinky here today with a quirky sense of humor "Get Well Soon" card. 

When I saw these stamps I knew I HAD to use them but I wasn't sure

how I was going to incorporate them into a card, I asked friends and the

consensus was that it HAD to be done (of course) and maybe a Get Well card. 

1. Trim out 4.5X6 black cardstock.
2. Trim out 4X5.5 kraft cardstock.
3. Trim out 9X6 sturdy cardstock for card base. (I used plain white 80 weight).
4. Using black ink- stamp King Henry VIII  image onto kraft cardstock.
5. Layer trimmed pieces as shown on card using 1/2" Miracle Tape & Miracle Tape Dispenser.
6. Trim out 3" pieces of ribbon.
7. Using 1/2" Miracle Tape lay tape onto back of ribbon- adhere to card.
8. Using scraps of kraft cardstock & dark purple ink- stamp sentiment Ask Me About 1X1 1/2". Trim out. 
9. Matte sentiment in black cardstock. 
10. Using foam pop dots, pop sentiment up over ribbon. 
11. Add "Go Ahead" using sticker alphabet. 

The Miracle Tape works great on the ribbon and cardstock!

In my opinion it's a must have. 

And this card is a must have for any friend with a quirky sense of humor!!

I really love the VLVS outrageous,
