Mail Art Monday | Fiona Paltridge

Hello VLVS peeps! Welcome to Mail Art Monday!

I have decorated a little white envelope with some of my favourite stamps from Mary Vogal Lozinak.

The feature stamp of the piece is the glorious "Whimsical Lettered Man" that I think is just way too beautiful to be a man. This would have to be one of my most favourite stamps EVER and seeing that VLVS has over 20,000 stamps to choose from, that's saying something!

I added interest to the stamp with Alcohol Ink Markers. I have a love hate relationship with mine .... I have ruined many a project using my AIM's .... if I'm not concentrating it can end up being a big brown messy mess!!

I finished the bottom of the envelope off with the gorgeous little "Whimsical Background" stamp. I always want to call this one something more like flower garden or flowers in a row. Again it's one of my faves ..... it makes the best border stamp. Both of these stamps can be found on plate 1457.

Lovely Day!!

Michele here today with some challenge inspiration for November.

So this is the awesome inspiration board for this month!  I was on a roll and created a tag with a short tutorial.

Here is the tag:

And for a how to on the background and of course I did some masking!!

I started by stamping on my tag in archival ink and then masking the images.  I used 2 new stamps, Circle Pattern Circle and Striped Pattern Circle.

On my gelli plate I put down some of the Dina Wakely acrylic in Lemon.

I rolled the paint out with a brayer and then put down a stencil for some pattern.

I lifted up the stencil and put the tag down in the paint.

Once the paint was dry you can see the harlequin pattern around the masked images.

I created another layer by inking through the the mask with Distress Ink in mustard seed.
Viola!  Background ready for doodling!  Now peel off the masks to get started...

I doodled some hearts and added more patterned circles.

Oh What a Day was the perfect sentiment for this bright tag!

I hope you are inspired to link up to our challenge!!  You have until the end of the month.

Until next time...get inky!!

A little Set of Drawers

I have a confession to make ...... I am TOTALLY addicted to this style. Since doing my pencil case makeover ... I've gone mad with this!! Now I've made over a little set of drawers that I picked up in a craft store a while back.

The layers ..........

The doodling .........

The stamping ..........

The colors!!! ..........

I can't seem to decide lately whether I like all the bright colours in my work or neutral earthy tones ..
I'll just keep creating and see what comes up next.

Thank you so much for popping by. I'll see you all again soon xx

Mail Art Monday !

Hello everyone,

and welcome to Mail Art Monday for VivaLasVegaStamps! I have painted and stamped an envelope.

This is the front.

Back of the envelope.

I used acrylic paints to colour the envelop (which is a ready made envelope). I used light yellow, green and light blue Amsterdam Paints. I then stamped all over it using a variety of VLVS! stamps and different colours of Archival Ink. Some of the stamps were coloured or doodled for which I used my Big Brush Markers and a white paint pen.

I have used the following stamps:

Fortune Favors the Bold ... Mail Art Monday!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome back for another

Mail Art Monday!!

Today I want to share an envelope I created for one of my brothers.  Here in Ohio people are starting to get ready for deer hunting season.
I love the woodsy vibe of this one.  I wish the gold shimmer I added would show up in the pictures!
(they are the light colored blobs)
