Happy Birthday ► Majo

Hello scrappy friends,

today I show you one more Birthday card.

I used the Stacked hearts designed by Tim Holtz for the top cover, on which I used my most fav stamp the “doodle dots” from Plate 1471 again.

Underneath I created my background with different colors distress ink.

A sentiment matted with the same cardstock of my card base finished my project.

I used the following stamps:

 19827

10480

Have a good week, find time to craft and stay healthy

NOT ALL WHO WANDER - by Fran Chalmers

Hello everyone! Today I have made a quick tag for you.

For the background, I blended distress inks in blocks of colour.

I splashed some water on the colours with a fine fan brush, making sure the splashes were only small.

I stamped the swirl in black, with the looping heart trailing from it.

I then stamped the man, and embossed him so that he stood out from the other stamps.  I wanted him to look like he was beginning to walk down a tunnel.

I shaded the swirl with pastel pencils, then stamped the sentiment (slightly crooked, unfortunately!) and drew a line round the tag in fine liner.

To finish it off, I added a ribbon.

Stamps Used:

Twilight Zone Swirl 20506

Looping heart line 20443

Not all who wander 19413

Businessman silhouette 19418

Other Items Used:

Distress inks in Mowed Lawn,  Squeezed Lemonade, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch

Versafine Clair in Nocturn

Black fine liner

Pastel pencils

Ribbon

Stop Wars by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello Everyone!

This weeks blog is a bit dark but fitting for the one year mark of the war on Ukraine.

Not to be too grim, but I felt the sentiment is fitting.

I chose my colors of  distress spray stain and sprayed, keeping in mind to leave a lighter area at the horizon. After spraying my tag, I spritzed with water and a bit more color and let them blend together. I tipped the tag various ways for the ink to run together a bit here and there. When I pleased with the result, I dried it with my heat tool.

Next I inked the broken fence stamp with a grey ink and stamped it. Then I turned it  around to stamp it facing the first one.
So It looks like a hole in the fence. Next I stamped the bird. I used a white gel pen to highlight his bones as they got a bit lost in all the color. I wanted a sort of rotting corpse so I painted some red and added some texture paste to help that look. Next I stamped and fussy cut the gas mask guy and added paint his jacket and gray under his eyes.
I used foam tape behind him to give him dimension. Then placed him on the tag.
The next step I did was to  Stamp the tree on each side. I used gray ink to paint some smoke coming off the branches, billowing up. Next I took the banksy stop wars stormtrooper  stamp and inked  just the words and stamped at the top.
I went in with a paint brush and some black ink to fill in the missing parts of letters a bit. Then went in with my white gel pen to make the o and p show a bit more.

And then I called it done. I hope you like what I've done this week, until next time....Stay artful!

Happy Birthday you old Sweetie ► Majo

Hi Lovelies,

Spring is just around the corner, so the colors for my Birthday Card are also a bit “springy”.

I inked a watercolor panel and stamped the diamond background as well as the waybill on top.

I just received the Tim Holtz Silhouette birds, so I just had to use them.

I stamped the diamond background also on the inside along with the numbers for texture and my sentiment.

A fun card

I used the following stamps:

19416

18920

19659

14306

WORTH CATCHING - by Fran Chalmers

Hi everyone.  Today I have made a quick card using one ink pad and only a few stamps.  I hope you like it.

I made the background by using the border stamp, which I stamped in Twilight Verserfine Clair.  I had to stamp it twice to fill the space by just turning the card so the edges were the same.

I then stamped the image of the lady onto thick paper in the same coloured ink as the background and coloured just the bow on her hair, her lips and the edge of her hat and neck.  I love the expression on her face!

Before putting her on the background, I trimmed round the background and mounted it onto card the same colour as the bow.  I also stamped the sentiment in Twilight and mounted it onto the same pink card.

A very quick and easy card, but I think quite striking!

Stamps Used:

Other Items Used:

Versafine Clair ink in Twilight
Sweet Poppy Stencil watercolour pens
Pink Card
