Hi everyone!
My name is Susanne and today it's the first time for me to give you some inspiration with the
awesome Viva Las Vegastamps. It's such a honor for me to be part of this
talented design team. Today, I'd like to share an art journal page.
Here are the step by step instructions:
Step 1: I started with a gelli printed background, added some Gesso with a scraper and some Neocolor II watercolor pastels.
Step 2: I blended the Neocolors with some water and a brush and added color until I was happy.
Step 3: I removed some of the Neocolor with a wet baby wipe by using a stencil. The result is a nice texture.
Step 4: Before stamping the main image I covered the area, where it would be placed, with gesso.
Step
5: I stamped the main image, the Dancing Lady and the You Are Here
sentiment with Jet Black Archival Ink. I also used the Waybill/Invoice
Background to add some interest to the background.
Step
6: Now it was time to drew the mason jar arround the Dancing Lady. I
sketched it first and traced the lines with a black uniPOSCA marker. I
colored the Dancing Lady as well as the jar with the Neocolors II.
Step
7: I adhered the Until Further Notice (stamped
on white paper) to my page. I colored it also with Neocolor II. Now I
took the black and white uniPOSCA marker to add some doodling and to
highlight the You Are Here. Finally I added some interest with the Dictionary Page stamp and the Toy Airplane stamp (in the right upper corner). The black paint
splatters give the page it's final touch.
Here are some more detailed images:
Thanks for stopping by today!
Susanne.

Going in circles and never stop: art journal page
Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my very first post on VLVS team.
This is an inspirational post and not a tutorial, so I am just going to share my thoughts, tips and the way I worked on this art journal page.
Lot of people ask me about the way I get my inspiration. Usually I begin with products I own. Like if I need to make a project for a stamp company, I try to figure what stamps I have and how I can combine them into a finished art piece.
As I already own quite a lot of VLVS stamps (about a hundred, I think) it was not so easy to group them into some themes and to see what stamps are going to be used for the first project.
So I grouped the circles first as they were pretty large.
The huge Clock face,Coffee ring stain, Solid color wheel and another circles were the first. Then I began to look for something that is connected to circles and to time and the result was this song line that says" Going in circles like a faceless clock with a timeless hope that never stop".
Perfecto! Now I looked for an image of someone who was standing, walking scrolling etc. The only one I found in my stash was this Businessman Silhouette , but it was the best of the best. I stamped him on the corner as this was my whole page anchor and added Brick background around him. All stamping process over this page done with pigmented inks and clear embossing powder and all inks I used are Clearsnap Crafter's inks as those are very wet and perfect for heat embossing inks.
Now I started the process that was to stamp all images with different colored inks and to make the circled
background and to arrange the circles to the way that will make my stickers sentiment placement possible.
On the way I added more circled VLVS images around as you can see on the full product list below.
The whole piece was misted, inked and painted with a wide mix of Gelatos, mists and acrylic paints and I even added some spots of gel medium around before (those are bare, non colored spots).

I arranged the sentiment around the circles and added this huge NEVER STOP central title with vinyl stickers.
Then I just added a couple of metal clock pieces and some glitter over the glue.

Have you heard of the new fun craze in the crafty mail world?
It's called Pocket Letter Pals!! Read about it HERE or a short video HERE from the woman who started it.
I am in love with creating these!!!
Naturally I love creating ATC's and you know any excuse to create a decorative envelope gets me excited!! So, needless to say this new trend is right up my alley!!!
I hope you all love what I have to share with you and give it a try also! I know you will love it too!
Stamps used:
Plate 1455 (seriously a MUST HAVE plate! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this plate!!!)

I started with these super fun painted backgrounds (these two were actually created for me by my mom :D whom is also a craft addict! her blog is HERE)
Next I cut the paper up into individual cards measuring 2.25in x 3.25 in (if you don't want to mount yours on black standard ATC size is fine also)... NOW the fun begins!!!
(Here you can see how my layout started... {Sorry this photo is a bit washed out}
and
from the final picture you can see things have been moved around some)

I start by arranging my base cards so that they are pleasing to the eye.. then I start stamping :D I like to add something tea or coffee related since people often send these items with thier letters, so thats what I start with. my next step is usually my "Hello" or about me card. From there i tend to bounce around adding qoutes, and things that blend nicely and make me smile :D
(Feel free to simplify yours I got super excited and went stamping crazy!! )

(the boots and fish are my 2 favorites... :D )

(had to share one more close-up of this one! I love it!!)
(with VLVS there is no limit to what you can do with these things! Some prefer to work by theme, or style or even color inspiration... Heck you could do cats, dogs or things that start with a specific letter..lol)
I hope you feel inspired and as excited as I am about these! Let us know if you'd like to see more Pocket Letter inspiration!!

I finished by dripping some Magicals along the top and randomly stamping with MESH TEXTURE.
After everything was dry I sprayed a very light layer of sealer and then painted a coat of the soft matt gel over the entire plate.
I think my nieces will like this for their room... :)
I am in love with this color combination!!
Thanks for visiting and we will be seeing you soon!!
Oh and don't forget about our monthly challenge, the inspiration board is scrumptiously vintage!!

from paintstick to bookmark
Hi Hermine here, I thought it would be great to turn a paintstick into a bookmark so I don't loose this one comparing to my paper ones, so I did, and this is how it turned out.
step 1: sand the paintstick lightly and give it a thin layer of gesso
step 2: stamp the Face Collage 18378 with Stazon Black
step 3: take a stencil (this one is with leaves) and use some moddeling paste to put over the stencil. Leave to dry over night.
step 4: Colour the face with Lyra crayons aqua colour and sponge the rest with 2 colours Distress ink
step 5: stamp Do all things with Love 19545 with Stazon black.
step 6: Make some accents in the leaves with a black pen.
Hope you like it.
Warmly Hermine

Magical Stamping with Versamark Ink
Are you having a great day? I know I am. I am excited it is my turn to share with you some stamp inspiration. Are you ready to have some fun?
So first off I started with my card base using some Distress Inks.
Once that dried I sprinkled water on to create the ink to create the inky effect.
Then I gave it a good rub over with the anti static pouch.
Then I used some versamark to ink the stamp.
I then gently brushed some magical powder over the stamp.
Now you can stop there and keep going or you can spritz the ink with water and set the magical alive.
I grabbed some chipboard pieces that had gesso on them and rubbed again with the anti static pouch.
I then used the versamark ink again to stamp my sentiments into the speech bubbles, covered them with some WOW embossing powder and gave them a good head set.
Here are some close ups of the cards.

Why hello ...
Hello everyone,
Yay, I have made it onto the VLVS! DT again and I am so very excited about this. It is such a nice DT and the stamps are fabulous ! For my first DT post in the new term I made a postcard. It is supposed to be a bit creepy but I am not very good at creepy so you might think it isn't ! lol

Here's a detail picture of the clown.
I used a background that was in my stash. Every now and then I will just make backgrounds for future projects. I don't use them every time but when I am strapped for time or when it is just the colour I am looking for I will use one. Today this one just was the right colour.
It was made with water and Primary Elements. So pretty...
I started with stamping the fence and the sentiment (I had already decided where the clown was going to go). I then stamped the background randomly. I also splattered some white ink on the card. (There is a full list of stamps I used at the bottom of this post). The clown was stamped on white card stock and on the card directly. I coloured him with Copic Markers and cut him out. I adhered the image to the card. The flower on the hat of the clown was stamped in yellow ink, doodled on and cut out. I adhered it to the image on the card. A white pen was used to doodle around the sentiment to make it stand out a bit more. And that was it !
I used the following stamps :
