Penholder ► Majo

 

Hi Folks,

it’s been some time since I made a penholder. Now I needed one for a friend in her “special” colors. 

I used Fossilized Amber, Barn Door, Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmelade Distress Inks. 

 I  applied the ink on my worksheet, added some water and just by dipping my watercolor paper into it, I created my background. This takes some time, since I had to dry each layer to avoid a muddy color.

 I stamped all my images and added sentiments in an according color (Barn Door) to give it more interest.

 

The box is not hand made. I painted the edges and added washi tape on the inside to have a smooth transition.
