Happy Birthday Terri Sproul

The challenge this month was to create a birthday card for our intrepid design team leader, Terri Sproul. I won January's challenge, so I'm not really entering this time around--but I had to join in on the fun didn't I? Didn't I? Lol!

Steampunk Divas

Hello, my name is Terri Sproul and I am so happy to talk to you about Rubber Plates that Viva Las Vegastamps! has to purchase.
Here is a Card I just made using stamps I got from one of the plates I purchased.
What is a plate you may ask?
Well this is a great bargain for us stampers. It's a wonderful selection of unmounted rubber images measuring approximately 7" x 9". The best part is the cost - Viva Las Vegastamps! makes and sells these plates for  just $21.95 (+ tax and shipping) and there are a lot of images on each plate. I purchased plate #1336 - which has over 25 stamp images on it... do the math! WOW! I also purchased the Bingo Card stamps - this is a large background stamp measuring 4 3/4" x 5 3/4"... fell in love the minute I saw it. I know you understand that!

Supplies: - each stamp will have a link to purchase...
Stamps:
Bingo Card
Plate # 1336
Vintage Fan Lady on Balloon
Fan Lady on Balloon
Steam
Punk
Diva
steampunk shoes - every girls need these..
Cream cardstock
Artprint Brown Dye Ink
Memories Dye Ink "Ruby"
colored pencils
India Ink
Pop - Dots
Miracle Tape

Directions:
1) Stamp all images onto cream cardstock. I stamped the Bingo Card in both "Artprint Brown" ink and then in "ruby"... cut the ruby letters out and pop-dots to other Bingo card. Cut card out and aged edges with Brown Chalk ink.
2) Stamp both Ladies in India Ink Black onto cream cardstock and cut images out... colored in images with colored pencils (I personally like color pencils... the color is NOT so sharp). Added brown Chalk ink to edges to age image..
3) Stamp Steampunk Shoes with ArtPrint Brown inside and outline with fine black marker... cut out images.
4) Stamped "Steam", "Punk" and "Diva" onto cream cardstock with Ruby Ink - cut out images.
5) Adhere Bingo card to Card base with my Miracle Tape.. add all the other images and adhere with my Miracle Tape. Made a pop dot with my Miracle Tape and pop up "Fan Lady with Balloon".

This was a fun card to make. That Plate has so many different fun image to play with I just could not help myself. Hope you like. Remember to head over to the store and purchase that plate or at least a stamp or two.

Thanks for stopping by... love to have you stop by my blog and visit me too. Check me out at Terri Sproul (that's a link)TTFN

Design Team Blog Hop

Viva Las Vegastamps! is so excited to be doing this blog hop with Blog Candy. You will be hopping over to each of the Design team blogs and to be entered to have a chance to win the blog candy you MUST
1) become/or already be a follower of each blog (I will be checking)
2) leave a comment on each Design Team blog including this Blog.
It's that easy!
What is the Blog Candy? OH, you are going to love this one... Each Viva Las Vegastamps! team member got this for the first month we were on the team and we all were so excited when we got it. So we are sharing our excitement with you.
"Pound O' Rubber"
This is a $25 value and you will love it.

Here is a project I (Terri Sproul) made using one of the image I got with my Pound O' Rubber. Hope you like...

Supplies:
Stamps: 2 sizes of the 5 Petal Flower
Greeting From Las Vegas!
Swirl Stamp
Ultra High Gloss Clear Embossing Powder
Miracle Tape
Crystal Lacquer - Clear, Pink and Yellow
Eyelet
Silk flower
Printed pattern paper
Ribbon
Cardstock: Cream, Pink, Dark Brown,
Inks: Pink, Brown, Black, Clear Embossing Ink
Embossing Gun

Directions:

1) On a pink cardstock I stamped the swirl stamp using my brown Ink pad - I stamped each image 3 times before I re-inked... aged all the edges with Brown Chalk ink
2) Stamped "Greeting from Las Vegas" onto cream cardstock using Black Ink. I colored in the image with my colored pencil, BUT I colored the Flamingo in with my Pink and Yellow Crystal Lacquer. I matted this image onto Pattern paper when onto Dark Brown Cardstock.
3) Stamped two of the 4 - 5 petal flower stamp onto white cardstock. Cut them out. I then stamped the swirl stamp onto the flower with clear embossing ink and Ultra High Gloss Clear Embossing Powder. I did a resist technique here (when you go to my blog, there will be a video on how to do this...) After I heat set my embossing powder, I added Pink dye ink over the whole image. The embossing powder will resist the ink I added over the flower. I aged the edges of my flower with brown chalk ink.
4) Continuing on my flowers - I added a Pink Silk flower to the center and then added an eyelet. I filled the center of the eyelet with Yellow Crystal Lacquer. Set aside to dry..
5) Now I just started to put my card together - using my Miracle tape - I have all the sizes of tape and would suggest the same for all...

Here is a list of our hop - just in case you get lost along the way, you can stop by here and find yourself.

Thinking Out of the Box with Embossing Powder

I love to think out of the box with a product and come up with an idea that just a little different.. Viva Las Vegastamps! has a wonderful Ultra High Gloss Clear Embossing Powder that is just too much fun to play with.

This embossing powder can be used on detail stamps too. That's really great, because as you know - some don't work well on detail stamps. Here is the link to find it on the Website

well I hope you enjoy that idea, if so, check out my other video on my Youtube channel including lots more using Viva Las Vegastamps!

Steampunk Mask

My name is Terri Sproul and I am the team Leader for the Viva Las Vegastamps Design team. Here is a project I made using the Steampunk stamps from them. Hope you enjoy.

I am just in LOVE with Steampunk right now.. and Viva Las Vegastamps! has the best steampunk stamps around. If you are a follower of my blog (Terri Sproul) you may have seen this. But I have added a few more gears onto it..

Supply List
Iridescent Bronze from Golden Acrylic
Micaceous Iron Oxide from Golden Acrylic
Wood mask - but I think a paper mache mask would work great
Glaze from Golden
Zipper
Miracle Tape from Viva Las Vegastamps!
Stamps - STeampunk from viva Las Vegastamps!
Ink: shades of brown.. I used Stewart Superior inks
Creative Paper clay
Amazing Molding Putty
Gears - got my from Viva Las Vegastamps!

Directions:

1) First thing I did was made some molds using my real clock gears. I used my Amazing Mold Putty to make my gears. I have a video on how to use this on the PaperClay blog.
2) After I finish making my molds, I started to make some Paperclay gears.
3) After my paperclay gear where dry I started to paint them. I used Golden's Iridescent bronze and Micaceous Iron Oxide to paint them. Made them look like real gears and NOT paperclay...
4) I found this mask at a yard sale over the weekend and it's was made of wood and painted white... I do believe a paper mache mask would work great for this project too.

5) I cover my mask with Golden Glaze to age the mask some. it was just too white.
6) I stared by stamping with my Gear stamp I got from Viva Las Vegastamps! all over the top of his head and a little down the one side of his face... just a little..

7) Add another Gear stamp image on his left cheek using Memories "Chestnut" Dye ink

8) Add a Zipper to his mouth using my Miracle Tape from Viva Las Vegastamps! this tape is great to adhere almost everything down... YOU NEED some of this stuff.

9) Added my Paperclay Gears to the side of his head and then added more Real gear around the Paperclay ones and in his eyes.... My mask is done... OMG... I really love it..

Starting in April we will be have a new project on this blog three times a week. Hope you all stop back by and see what our Design Team will be making for us. The team will be announce on March 28th - right here!

May your life be filled with Viva Las Vegastamps!
