Art Journal with Flowers

I got a little time to play in my art journal the other day!

I went through and picked out a page that had a little back ground color on it already.
It had been painted with shimmer Gelatos. So pretty!
But, it got some Gesso on the edges while working on another page.

I used a flower from this plate.

I LOVE this plate! I love flowers!
You NEED this plate.
Yes the entire thing!
Get it!! :)

Want to make it?

Here's what you need:
a journal to work in
Tissue tape
Black ink
Watercolor pencils
Water & paint brush
scrap paper
Tim Holtz little bird & bird house dies
Gelatos
Scrap of tulle
Bling
Smooch top coat
Scrap of black card stock
Scrap of white card stock
Miracle Tape
Tacky glue
Spellbinder's dies
Heat gun

OK, so get out your pre-back grounded page...Slap some tissue tape on it. Be messy, that's OK.
Add some Geltao over the tissue tape, and brush with water.
Dry it.
Cut two nested papers using the Spellbinder's dies.
Stamp the flower on the white paper.
Color with watercolor pencils, blend with water.
Dry.
Add some Smooch on the flowers.
Dry.
I also took a wet paint brush to my Gelato, and painted
around the flowers to create a soft back ground.
Add it to the page using Miracle Tape.

Tie a knot in the end of the tulle, and glue to page.
Trim end if needed.
 Die cut bird & cage.
Ink up cage with black ink.
Attach to page.
Add bling to the top of the cage, and to the bird for an eye.
Add a line of bling.
BLING IS GOOD!!

Here's your wiener!
