Summer by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello everyone!

For my blog project today, I did a page in my art journal-enjoy.

I started by doing the blue corners first. I sprayed several spray stains and then sprayed water and kept alternating until I was happy.. Then I did the yellow and red. again using water to thin and move around the colors.

Next I used my pearl ex watercolor pallet and painted several colors on here and there until I was happy. I love the shimmer of the pearl ex.

While that dried, I stamped and fussy cut the swimsuit lady out and painted her. Next I stamped the various images where I wanted them- making an l shape on the page. I added the seahorse washi tape. I used two layers of foam tape behind the girl since I wanted her to stand out nicely. Added a die cut green sprig and then done! I used the chain link fence stamp as fish net- it works pretty good but then it mostly got covered up.

Apothecary by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello all!!

Todays project is a mixed media panel featuring VLV stamps.

So First I stamped all the images and cut them out. Next I gathered my resin parts that I had previously made and painted and glued the jars onto the frame. I painted the frame with copper acrylic paint and then used patina effect paste over it and the jars. When those were dry, I added some wax to give gold and blue highlights.

Next I painted with distress spray stains, all of my cut out images. I glued the apothecary image to the back of the frame. Next I got a background card from my stash- I had used alcohol inks and rust effect paste on that. I also  used the foundry 3D embossing folder.

I attached the row of books to the apothecary cabinet, colored and stamped the heart and brain in the Victorian display cases and then assembled everything onto the background card.
And there you have an Apothecary shop! I hope you enjoyed!
