Happy Holidays Everyone!
Today I'm sharing a bleaching technique on a pop-up card with a floating floor. This card was made with just one stamp.
Santa collage image was inked with black ink on matte coated white card
stock. Set image aside to dry. {The reverse side of Kromecote is perfect for this project.}
In a small plastic or glass dish add one tablespoon of water
with three drops of Clorox. Use a small brush to add bleach to the dark areas
of Santa collage and tree. Don’t over
saturate the paper. The black ink fades within minutes. Let the bleach image air-dry.
Paint Santa's coat, trim, beard and tree with a watercolor crayons. This is done by adding a little bit of color down on craft sheet or wax paper. Wet brush and pick up color with a small brush and paint on santa.
Use a small brush with black dabber paint on Santa's feet and the number 25 Brown dabber paint on Santa's sack and hand.

Spread glitter glue on tree and set aside to dry.
Second part of card:
I was inspired to make my card using Karen’s technique and
template for the floating floor. http://karenburniston.typepad.com/i_am_not_lefthanded/2012/10/pop-up-2torial-pop-n-cuts-with-floating-floor.html
Print and cut out template: http://karenburniston.typepad.com/files/floating-floor-template.pdf
Use base and insert die with light green pattern paper
through the die cutting machine. After cutting the pale green paper I decided I
wanted a pin stripped paper for the back portion of card. It was die cut using
the base and insert dies, cut off at centerfold and applied to back portion of
card with Miracle Tape. Do this
before applying the floating floor.
Remove insert die and then die cut two pieces of dotted pattern paper. Use template on one of the dotted paper for floating floor and the other
for the outside cover.
A lucky find, one sheet of paper from the Christmas pad had
the size of trees needed as my pop-ups on this card.
Two slits ¼” long and 1/16” deep was made in the floating
floor.
Fold mountain and valley folds on floating floor piece as
seen on template. Apply Miracle Tape,
peel off protective piece and adhere to card front.
Santa collage was
trimmed close and applied to pop-up portion of card with the use of Miracle Sheets.
Apply Miracle Tape to remaining piece of dotted paper for
the cover.
The sentiment was cut from another sheet on paper pad and
applied with Miracle Tape to finish. The pop-up card folds flat when closed.
