Happy Holidays By Tracy Blackwolf

Hello all! My card this week is a winter card- hope you enjoy.

I began the card by stamping the house and then the trees on either side.

I used Dr.PH Martins bleed proof white for snow on everything. I used it pretty thick. I let dry overnight as I was done for the day.

Next I used the colors you see in the photo for the sky and some on the ground. I kept adding and playing until I was happy with the result.
Next I used neon acrylic paints for the holiday lights. I dabbed a tiny bit on of each color. The paint is not in the best containers so the paint started to dry and was a bit thick in some of the pots. It worked out well for the application though. I then took a fan brush and dipped in water and then into the Dr PH Martins white again and splattered it all over for the snowing look. It does dry fairly fast so then I added the smoke from the chimneys with white pan pastel. I added more snow to the trees and ground to get the look I wanted. Last, I stamped the coyote/ wolf/ dog to complete the scene. Then layered on to card stock for the finished look.

A haunting we will go By. Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello all!

Halloween is next week and so I made a card for my favorite holiday- enjoy🎃

To start my card, I stamped all the houses first. Then the graves, fence, then kids and last I stamped the moon and clouds, and last was bats.

I colored in the windows and the jack-o’-lantern  and then I started on the background.

I worked the back ground until I was happy. Then I let that dry. I came back later and worked on the houses. I felt the houses needed some trees between them so I went back and stamped the trees. I added in the creepy fog and the very last thing was to stamp the words. It was a lot of work but I loved it. I think it coveys Halloween night pretty well.

Don’t make me get my flying monkeys. By Tracy Blackwolf

Hello all! And Happy October! My favorite month…

I hope you enjoy my card for this week.

For this card, I started by stamping all of the images first.

Then I painted the whole background with distress spray stains and water and a brush. I really love doing water color with them as I like the way they blend.
I kept playing with color and adding more color until I was happy with the sky. It was pretty wet and time to walk way for the day so it got to dry overnight. Which is rare for me but it definitely has a different look than when I heat dry it. I came back and added more color to the sky again. Not too much.
Next I painted the bat and the witch.
Things always look different on camera than in person and I had issue with part of the sky by her broom. It was not blended right to me. I can be a perfectionist. It’s annoying. lol.  So, of coarse I had to fix it. I also felt she needed a bit of magic mist to be flying on so I added so white pan pastel. Then I layered the card onto cardstock. I was going for a bit of old time Halloween card look so hopefully that comes across.
The little bat seems just curious but the witch isn’t up for any shenanigans.

I hope you enjoyed- enjoy fall…it’s far too short.

Never too old….. by. Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello everyone!

Today I made an art tag for my project. Fall is in the air and that, for me, means Halloween!!

Enjoy the tag.

So for this, I sprayed the tag with antique linen spray stain. Then I put on a bit of lost shadow around the edges. Then a bit of vintage photo.

Next I stamped the doll and then the candle stamp around the doll. And then the spiders. Next I started to color everything in. I used a paint brush and Distress spray stains for that.
For the white, I used Dr. PH Martins bleed proof white. I added some black soot watered down around the edges of the card o darken it a bit. For the yellow glow around the candle flames, I used yellow pan pastel.
I used some straight pins for a 3D effect in the doll. And for the phrase I used TH chitchat stickers.

Last, I layered the tag onto black cardstock.
Fun and creepy!

Ring of fire by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello all!

I made a card today -I'm loving doing landscapes lately... hope you enjoy.

I've been wanting to do a volcano for a while now and finally got around to it.

I used multifarious smooth and supreme card stock about 4" x 8" and stated by using one ink color at a time and swirling on the color with the brush. I left a highlight or light area as you can see.

Next I stamped the volcano image and then used distress oxide black soot around the edges and to extend the volcano to the bottom of the card.
I kept adding black soot oxide around the edges of the card. I switched to regular distress ink pad black to work my way in further as its more transparent and what I wanted for the look as I still wanted some orange to show through. Next I stamped the rock vista stamp to get more mountain scene but I only used the bottom half of the stamp.
I also used the spray stains shown to create the hot clouds, just put on with a brush. Then I needed some bright color for the lava.. I wanted it to look hot so I used some neon acrylic paints and a small brush to put them on. also, the white smoke I put on with a brush and white pan pastel.

Next it was time for the white highlights. I used Dr.Ph.Martins bleed proof white. I put it on with a very small brush. This stuff is fantastic! It stays white! After I got all my white hot whites on, I used the white pan pastel to make more smoke. Then I stamped some trees and finally mounted my card onto layers of cardstock to finish it.

I hope you enjoyed. It was a fun card to make.

Winged Victory by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello all-

Today I made a card for the project-hope you like it.

I stamped the Columned entrance and painted it in with distress oxide old paper. Then I used a watercolor marker for the bright yellow doorway.

I then used shaded lilac and spray stain and then I took a wet brush and swiped it over the black soot oxide pad and painted around he edges of the card.

I then took the black soot spray stain and painted around the edges again for a darker look. I added some saltwater taffy spray stain as well. I dried the card with my heat tool, and then flecked splatter white all around for stars. To get the rays, I used two pieces of paper  to make a "stencil" and dabbed white pigment ink with a cotton ball to get the rays.It lightens a lot when its dry.
I used a double layer of foam tape behind the woman for good dimension. Fussy cut the body and the head from snake lady. Attached the head and them painted it all. Then attached to the card.
