Art meets Function ►Majo

Hi Peeps!

It’s me again with a little excursion into

AMF - Art meets function“.

You know that I very often combine art with something functional either as home decor and something useful as pen holders or boxes for keepsakes.

Today I show you the new covers of the vaccination passports of JJ and Charly.

I used a water colour paper I had created some time ago; I always have some in my stash. I stamped the cat silhouettes and my most favorite stamp, the doodle dots as well as the sentiment on my panel.

After stamping the scrabble letters, I cut them out and glued them on the cover. I repeated that step to give them some dimension.

Adhered to the passports I must say that I really like the new covers. I bet my vet will be a bit surprised.

Wanna see how dull they were before?

Sneak of Charly and JJ?

I have used the following stamps:

Scrabble Alphabet

Doodle dots

Cats silhouettes

You are beautiful

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friends. Please stay safe, take good care of yourselves and find joy in your art.

Luy ya ♥

Poe by Tracy Blackwolf

Hello Everyone!! For my blog post this time, I did a tag. So many things you can do with them, from adding to an art page to attaching a gift card... I put them on book rings and hang them in my studio for inspiration....

To start I put a few drops of lucky clover and peeled paint Distress Oxide ink on a glass mat, sprayed with some water and smooshed my tag at random all over until it was covered. I then added some black soot Distress ink spray. once dry, I used a brush to put leafing glue here and there. Once tacky, I put on the copper leaf. Once that was dry I Put the tag in the Typeface 3D texture fade folder and ran it through my machine.

I then stamped and cut out Poe and his Raven and painted them with Twinkling H2O's. While they dried I took some copper wax paste and rubbed over the letters so they would stand out.

I then found some tiny words and assembled everything onto the tag. I hope you like it!

Until next time.... keep on creating!!

Pure Imagination - A bookmark by Fran

Hi everyone

Today I've made a bookmark for my daughter.  She loves reading and can get very engrossed in a book, which always makes her imagination go wild. So I have called this bookmark "Pure Imagination"!

First of all I stamped these lovely faces and embossed them with clear embossing powder.

I then used Brushos in Purple and Alizarin Crimson mixed with water to paint around the faces - I wanted them to remain white.  When dry, I flicked water on the brushos to give some texture.

I coloured in the details on the faces only in shades matching the background

Lastly I stamped the words "Pure Imagination"

Hope you like it! Happy crafting and see you next time!

Stamps Used:
Pure Imagination   SKU 19041
Faces all from SKU Plate 1517

Other Items used:
Versafine Clair Ink in Nocturne
Clear Embossing powder
Brushos
Polychromos pencils
White card (which works well with water)

Artist trading cards - Jump in puddles

 Hi everyone,

I've got another pair of ATCs to share with you. They might be inspired by the many rainy days we had over the last weeks.

The background was made with alcohol inks on matte cardstock. Therefore I applied them onto my gelli plate, along with a little blending solution and directly add the paper on top - without letting the ink dry and without adding any acrylic paint. The light colors made me think of a sky and that brought me to the ATCs as they are. After inking the edges it even looked a little stormy.

The process of making the cards wasn't complicated, but I want to emphasize my way of creating a little dynamic. One aspect is the asymmetry I used to put my two card layers together. In addition to this, I aligned the woman with the umbrella in the opposite bottom left corner. Images that are "cut" at the edge of a project can make a real difference and add more interest to the composition.

Stamps used:
Girl With Umbrella facing away (19127)
Keep Calm/Puddles (19120)
Windmill Scene (19124)

Other material:
- white and navy cardstock
- alcohol inks (cloudy blue, rust) + blending solution
- gelli plate
- Versafine Claire ink (nocturne)
- Memento ink (london fog)
- Distress ink (black soot)
- Arteza watercolor pens

See you soon!

She was a dreamer ► Majo

Good morning, Peeps ♥

Today I show you another addition to my canvas triple.

I started it last year and two are already hanging on the wall of my studio.

Again I started with distress ink in warm red and yellow and left out a part in the middle. I stamped the vintage lady and the sentiment on tissue paper and used Mod Podge Matte to adhere it to my canvas.

I used the same colours distress ink to colour her dress and hair.

For more interest I spritzed some ink on top, added the wooden charms, the metal ring and string and ready is my little canvas.

I tend to give my creations to friends, those three I’m sure I will keep.

Remember the last two I made?

I used the following stamps:

Fed-up Vintage Lady
She was a dreamer
 Both from plate 1459
Thanks so mch for stopping by, have a great day, find time to craft and take good care of yourselves.
 Luv ya ♥
