HALLOWEEN by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello and Happy Halloween everyone!!

For my blog project today I made a nostalgic card- hope you enjoy!

So I started by stamping the images and then I drew a walkway which ends up getting covered up anyway...

next I sprayed my background colors on and used a paintbrush to guide them where I wanted them. I painted in the jack o lanterns and the house. I used the tip of the brush to add leaves to the trees and ground.

I mostly dried all of that and then added more deeper colors for the depth. I also used picket fence spray stain for fog. it does cool things when you dilute it with a wet brush. so your fog can be as thick or transparent as you want. I also used some oxide sprays on the house.

I then Stamped the kids and cut them out and painted them. I used foam tape on the back so they stand out. also colored the edge of them with a black marker.

I really love the mixed media heavy stock post cards. they can really take a lot of  liquid and manipulation. I tend to soak mine . Given that even drying it with the heat tool, your art will still continue to dry and blend and will look even better the next day.
I finish it by layering the card twice.

I hope you enjoyed~ have a great Halloween!

Oops! Sorry....

Hey everyone!

Today I have made a card for those awkward times when you might need to say sorry! I hope you like it!

First I made the background by putting a circle mask on my card, and smooshing it in Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink on my mat.

While the mask was still on, I stamped my favourite background stamp in Blueprint Sketch distress ink to give some interest.

I  went round the edge of the mask with Blueprint Sketch, then removed the mask and stamped the main image of the girl in the circle.  I then filled in lightly with Cracked Pistachio.

I went round the edge of the card with Blueprint Sketch, and then added the sentiment with Tim Holtz Idea-ology letters.

                                                              19798 Coffee cup

                                                              19568 double coffee rings

                                                              20247 grungy strip of stars

I started out by stamping Coffee cup on 3 different papers. I did 1 for the lid 1 for the base and 1 for the band around the coffee cup.

On the band I stamped grungy strip of stars.

I then made a tag from Halloween paper. I was inspired by Dina Wakley new tags. I then stamped double coffee rings around the tag with some brown distress ink. Ater that I stamped drink coffee saying around the sides of the tag. I edged it with the same brown ink, and I added a tag to the top of the tag.

Gift box by ~*Arwen*~

 Hi peeps :)

Welcome back on this Blog.

Today I'm here with a tiny box, which I needed for a little present.

And that's how I made it:

1.) I need two pieces of cardstock in the following sizes.

2.) I cut and fold the larger piece using the sizes entered.

3.) I do the same thing with the small piece.

4.) Folded and glued, I now have a small box with a lid.

5.) Now I want to decorate my box even more, so I cut appropriately sized pieces of watercolor paper.

6.) First I prime all parts with a rich yellow.

7.) I shade the edges of each piece with a dark pink.

8.) To stamp the pieces, I choose a chalk ink pad.

9.) I stamp a saying on the largest piece of paper using VersaFine Clair. It also serves as the lid of the box.

10.) Before I stick everything on, I add a few spritzes of Dylusions Shimmer Spray.

All stamps, I used:

- You are beautiful

- Swirl

Other supplies:

- Cardstock

- Watercolorpaper

- Scor Pal

- handmade watercolors

- ColorBox Chalk

- VersaFine Clair

- Ribbon

See ya soon *mwah*

Balancing Bones.... by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello Everyone!! Happy Fall!

I made a card for my project today~Enjoy!

For the background I used Three mica stain sprays. I started with the yellow, Then covered it while I sprayed the Orange one  And then sprayed the iron one. I used a paint brush to move them around the card to get the coverage I wanted.

I dried it with the heat tool and then I sprayed some water drops all around the card. to get the mottled look.
While I waited for that to do its thing, I fussy cut all the skulls and bones. Good thing I have many years of practice with that because that little skeleton was a challenge.
I used three colors of distress spray stain as watercolor paints for all of the bones.
The bottom skull is taped flat, then all others have foam tape with the skeleton have two layers. I wish the dimension showed better in photos.
I debated having a spider hanging from his hand, would be cute yet I like the simplicity of it as is.
I hope you enjoyed!

Stamps used:
Skull   2403
Realistic skull    19724
Creepy skeleton specimen     20684
Humerus bone   19728

Other supplies:
Distress mica stain: Harvest moon, iron gate, burning ember
Distress spray stains: Scorched timber, vintage photo, antique linen
