I received a beautiful card that my mother made using watercolor whole she was out of the country with my dad. It was so much fun to open the mail and find such a great treasure! She sent one to me and each of my children! It was very special!

ReplyDeleteI love mail art that is coherent, but also has small writings, colours and/or images that will make clear who has made it, it feels like a treat with lots of love, given to me. It always leaves a huge smile on my face and a warm feeling inside.
ReplyDeleteI really loved the video and the flip book you made. Thank you!
I am just now learning about mail art. This video was a great tutorial. What a great little flip book. I will definitely be looking on YouTube for more ideas. Thanks Jenn.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! I absolutely love this!!! Off to watch the video now!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso... I love All mail art lol
ReplyDeletelove this flipbook! Well done Jenn.
ReplyDeleteI love every mailart which is made by the sender itself, because they put so much energy, love and time in it, how could i not love it!
thanks for sharing.
I love all sorts of mail art, usually I just quickly stamp or stencil on the envelope in the same colours or theme that the card inside happens to have :) I've never tried a booklet, this was simply awesome, thanks for the tutorial!
ReplyDeleteAnd I've liked the vlvs fb page already ages ago :)
ReplyDeleteI am new to mail art. I usually stamp the envelope with a small stamp or use some colorful duck tape. Lately I started gelli printing then stamping and doodling. Babt steps
ReplyDeleteI love mail art, it is so awesome to go to the mailbox and pull out a piece of art!!!! I love the simple mail art, where you paint or whatever medium you close on an envelope, but then seal the envelope with nothing in it.... I joined a group a couple years ago and got to exchange mail art with a girl in The Phillipines, it was so much fun!!! I love your flip book, it's beautiful!!! The colors, the amazing stamps!!! I love it!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!! I also liked the VLVS Facebook page!!! Thank you so much for doing this wonderful giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteI've always been a big fan of hand written letters so when I have a friend that goes away for an extended period I tend to send them letters and why send a boring plain white letter when I can cover it with pretties? I usually cover a regular piece of paper with acrylic and sprays and then decorate the envelope to match, adding stamping and washi tape and a bit of more elaborate hand lettering for the address. I've never tried anything like this flip book before but I think I'll probably give it a try!
ReplyDeleteLiking the look of it, will watch the 'movie' later !

I must say, this is a really piece of art! I love all the colors. As for my favorite types of mail art, I'm honestly not sure since I never really knew mail art was a thing before I discovered your channel. Although, I'd have to say when it comes to mail art I like it when it isn't too busy, I also like a nice mix of colors.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out so pretty, I love it! I love all different kinds of mail art but most recently I have been intrigued by pocket letters!
ReplyDeleteLoved your flip book. Isn't mail art a box full of surprises!
ReplyDeleteI just recently learned of mail art. When I was young I never sent a letter in the mail without doodling and stickers. I love the idea of artists brightening each other's day with art in the mail. This flip book is amazing! Just like the rest of your stuff. Love!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of mail art until recently (probably from your channel), but I think I love it all! This is a beautiful flip book, thanks so much for sharing your wonderful, inspirational art with all of us.
ReplyDeleteI'm new to the idea of mail art so I don't know enough to say what my favorite type is. As someone else posted, I didn't know mail art was a thing until now!
ReplyDeleteI liked your fb page. A few of them, I think...
ReplyDeleteAltered postcards - used to be in a group that swapped them and it was so much fun! Thanks for the chance to win your nifty book!
ReplyDeleteI always try and decorate my envelops when sending out cards. Sadly, I have never received any mail art. I have enjoyed many dozens of videos showing how to make mail art and I am drawn to pastel colors. Thank you for your process video on this wonderful flipbook.
ReplyDeleteI just love having something pretty land on my door mat, then looking and looking at it wondering how an effect was created, or just loving the colours.
ReplyDeleteLiking your facebook page as well
ReplyDeleteI like all kinds of flipbooks. Watercolor flower flipbooks are great but maybe a friend's night out pictures made into a flip book would be cool. PS I liked both the VLVS FB page and flipbook post. Have a great and artistic day. TAT

ReplyDeleteI personally loved getting mail art (when I used to actively swap) where the envelope was made from household items. I've received painted advertisements. I've received comics from a newspaper that was laminated with packing tape. What I love most is receiving something that has a corresponding decorative note or piece of art inside. This is absolutely gorgeous work. Would love to win it! I gave https://www.facebook.com/vlvstamps/. a "like" on FB as well. Thanks a bunch!
ReplyDeleteBoy I love this .... I mean REALLY love this!!!

ReplyDeleteYour mail art project (flip book) is amazing. I love it!
ReplyDeleteIn my family I'm known as the Queen of Recycling so any Mail Art that was created is wonderful but even moreso if it was created using papers or whatever that would otherwise be tossed in the trash.
As always fantastic project and easy to follow video. Thanks for sharing.
I have never made a flip book of any kind so I must say I really like what you made. I like its colors and the playfulness of it. I like mail art that has bright colors of paints or inks with neat stamps.
ReplyDeleteI love decorated envelopes. It makes the happy mail even more exciting. Love that fun sentiment. Your flip book is fabulous. Hugz

ReplyDeleteMy favorite mail art is any mail that arrives in a decorated unexpected mail container and I love to send refurbished 2 liter soda bottles as the 'envelope or box mailer'.
