Is it The Headless Horseman????

Is it the Headless Horseman??? Is it Paul Revere??  Is it the Pony Express????  I don't know, maybe the Headless Horseman decided to put his head back on!

Taking a non-Halloween image and mixing it with Halloween images is wayyyy too much fun!  You can interpet this art in many ways!

Take the Cowboy Carring Letter and the R.I.P. and Jack O' Lantern image and combine them to create a creepy look!

VLVS Images:
18992 Cowboy Carring Letter
18897 R.I.P. Jack O' Lantern
18916 Small Left Raven
12961 Bat

Stamp the cowboy first (Using permanent black ink) and color the way you prefer.

Next, ink up only the pumpkin area of the R.I.P.  and Jack O' Lantern in orange (I used Mementos ink).

Referring to illustration of completed project, use first yellow gelly roll, then black permanent marker to fill in the pumpkin.  The eyes were made more slanted to look evil.  Cut the pumpkin out and adhere on top of the cowboy's head using Miracle Tape

In my last post I told you how you can use a Miracle Tape Sheet to mount behind the square of paper, then cut out the image in order to cover the whole area in adhesive.  You may choose to use one of the smaller widths of Miracle Tape as well.

Added a few "pumpkin lines" as well.  For the grass I used a green Memento ink and just inked up the grass area of the R.I.P. and Jack O' Lantern image and stamped.  I used an Identipen in green to connect all the grass more together.

Lastly, stamp the bat twice and the raven image.  I added acouple dash marks to make movement.  The background is easy to make, use your die cutting machine or a Martha Stewart punch made to go all around the page.  This was done on the yellow cardstock.  The yellow cardstock was mounted on Orange to compliment the pumpkin.  A little epoxy sticker was added on the bottom right.

Play and have fun with your stamp images!!  I like letting out the child within to create unusual and different type of illustrative art.  I imagine all sorts of stories.  What do you imagine????
